About 50-60 hours to clear all sides and recruit everyone.

The final dream door is extremely hard. So that's going to take another 10-30 hours to level up and clear it. 30 floors with level 95 boss at the end. W1fVpH5.png

If you ignore that, the game can be wrapped up in 50-60 hours.

Done with all sides and recruited everyone. Kingdom at max finally. Throne room looks lovely. CaXqABf.png

am at the final boss and the game isn't giving any citizen recruit quests and I completed all the available ones(except the maze lady). Am at 94 citizens, will be rest of the citizens quests unlock after defeating the final boss?

I read that you need to grind some  20-25 levels or the boss will one-shot you. And with 30 floors, it is a high risk to go under-levelled as dying means starting at level 1.

Yes. Few citizens show up after the story is complete. Quests 159 to 175 are after story.  Dekkah's quest is hilarious.

50-60 hours is doable. I thought 100+ would be required.

75-100+ if you plan to clear all tainted bosses and the last dream door. After you beat 50 tainted monsters, 10 high-level ones will unlock. They are up to level 90 who just one shot kill you.

Yep. I was just doing that.

That forest is pretty much endgame and all the mats there are super useful for crafting legendary items. I reached level 27 and left before dying at the boss. Good farm. 1qTngwl.png

Only missing 8 more trophies. 5 are easy but these 3 will take so much time. vU8Df0L.png

  • Ball Boy trophy - Awarded for collecting a total of 2,000 balls. This one is silly. I just hit like 1100 something in 60+ hours of playing...
  • God of War trophy - Awarded for overcoming 50 skirmish challenges. Sadly, these skirmish challenges show up randomly after a certain number.
  • Dream Big trophy - Awarded for surviving 10 Dreamer's Doors. The last one is mad.

Finished it.

Remember those things/games that make you inspire, cheer up, fall in love all over and leave you in tears and then smile with joy? This is one of them. An outstanding gem of a game. 6s6FaQA.png

Right from the start, the game shapes out perfectly. All the characters are well done and Evan & Ronald's relationship makes the journey even more joyous. The way it evolves and ends with an so satisfying ending makes you want to keep playing it over and over and over again.

It's been a very long time since I played this much in a whole week. Stick of Truth, if I remember correctly. 4 years later, this has rekindled the spark and love for video games.

You can see the amount of hard work, joy, love, tears and everything poured into this game while developing it. Every quality of the game is so perfect. The soundtrack, visuals, the combat, the characters, bosses, story, exploration, content. Everything is just perfect.

For once, I have nothing negative about a game. A wonderful journey throughout and never been more satisfied with the ending. 10/10. KfZGwXU.png

Thank you, Level-5 for making this. I'm not even a big fan of JRPG games but this is just too good not to play. A perfect entertainment with a spark of everything.

First Persona 5 and now NNK2. You say you are not a fan of JRPGs, but you will come to the dark side soon enough. Welcome to the genre. Next, I urge you to try Yakuza 0. That game has a story that's as good as Narcos or Daredevil S1, and will leave you in the edge of your seat. It also has a tonne of things to do. It's an open-world game that does open world in a different way. Most open world games have huge areas with limited things to do and a usual checklist of activities. Yakuza has a small open world (Only 1-2 cities). But those cities are literally packed with things to do. It would not be an exaggeration to say that you can do almost all the activities you will be able to do in a IRL city.

In this game I'm stuck at the beginning of Chapter 8. I'm trying to level my party to at least 50s before attempting the chapter (Currently they are in the beginning 40s). Also watching TV shows while waiting for my coffers to fill up. Any tips on fast character level ups? What level were you when you did the last chapter before facing the final boss?

Complete the side quests all possible side quests, they give you lots of XP and you will level up without any grinding. You need to grind after the main story to get the plat. There is an easy way

Farm the level 77 tainted monster that spawns after you kill the first 50 tainted monsters. During the battle, she spawns a bunch of fairies, ignore the boss and keep killing the fairies. When low on supplies, run away and repeat. You will jump from level 70-90 in about 2 hours

I just finished the secret boss at danger level 5. Higgledy Sirrah is OP xd

Did not expect him to be a level 120, I read that he is95 but because of the danger level of the maze, I guess he ended up being 120

Only Higgeldy trophies left, will do them when the DLC1 launches.

Exactly the same situation I was in. Did as many side-quests/errands as I could. Also, went to areas with Level 50-55 monsters to defeat them. Some of the deserts and some areas around Ding Dong Dell.

Also, tainted monsters. There were some I had skipped initially because I had a lower level and would obviously get owned by them. But after reaching the early 40s-level, I would take on those tainted monsters upto level 45 to 47'ish. They give a good amount of XP.

Use the tactic-tweaker before every battle if you have to, depending on the type of enemy for maximum damage. Use the research options at the Kingmaker's building to get more HP and MP orbs during a battle to make it easier. Also, IIRC, I think there's also a building that has a research to be done, that gives you more Exp. during battles. Some weapons have a gain more Exp. benefit. See if you can use those.

I did all of that and reached Level 49 and initiated Chapter 9. Currently at the beginning of Chapter 9. I'm thinking of getting to Level 60, first before fighting the final boss. Let's see.

Haven't read the spoilers by Keano, so not sure of any shortcuts.

On my wishlist. Will get around Yakuza soon. Have currently installed Kingdom Hearts and some FF games. RwbCquX.png

I really didn't farm anything. Just did the side quests, 30ish tainted bosses and 9 dream doors. Was around 50-55 level during chapter 8.

Use XP boost ring and neck for at least 1 player (I use it on my main) and set tactics to XP boost as well. Upgrade/research all XP boost buildings too.

Damn, I missed it. I killed that monster already. F5bNNLC.png I'm at level 80 now. Will give the final door shot with new Higgledy.

The final boss is doable at 50-55. Stack up some food, get a lot of healing and revive. Check on Lofty during battle often to get the golden ball which will make the fight a lot easier.

This was how I played. In the main story, your level can be less than 10-15 than the enemies and you'll still destroy them.

This was my setup btw for the final secret boss

  • Boss-Woss the Bruiser - Fiestiness 181, Hardiness 97, Cost 3
  • Popple the Pure - Fiestiness 115, Hardiness 102, Cost 2
  • Frabjous the Fusiler - Fiestiness 143, Hardiness 103, Cost 2
  • Charnel the Churlish - Fiestiness 165, Hardiness 97, Cost 3

1, 2 and 3 have all Higgledy Sirrah (summon a Knight), 4 have Me Too! Me Too! (copy the Higgledy activated ability)

When you activate the abilities of 1, 2 and 3, there is a chance that 4 will copy it so two Knights will be summon instead of one. 4 activated ability also is a healing ability so it won't ask you to activate it if you have high HP, so more chance for 1, 2 and 3 to ask you to activated their summon.

It's fun watching four Knights running around, even five sometimes.

Other abilities includes 1 reduce enemy physical defense, 2 reduce enemy magical defense, 3 heal, 4 increase party magical defense.
