But there are reasons for that (however unsatisfying they might be). Heck, even Vader went down to a relatively untrained Luke in Ep VI. Tbf in their first duel Luke got his a*s handed to him ( & spared) by Vader. Here (even against a wounded & emotionally wreck Kylo) she just closed eyes murmured some words & goes on to beat him, that parting of the ground should have saved Rey instead of Kylo. Go, play KoTOR, construct a dual-bladed lightsaber, invest in Lightsaber finesse, see d20 rules get blown for a toss. Mini-crit every mook that so much even looks your way. Ya sure it was kind of same structure but this felt more real and more connecting. I have no nostalgia factor as I watched the whole series only 2 months back for the first time. I am glad they went with the same story arc bcoz this movie has the job of reviving the series. Now its established the series can move forward to new directions. The movie was supposed to restore the faith of the audiences and it did. They shouldn't have killed Han Solo Dude Harrison Ford looks really old now.. I enjoyed revenge of the sith more simply because of awesome jedi moves and lightsaber fights. And i think they should have left the skywalker storyline alone and started some new story about a different jedi. Return of the jedi had given enough closure to the skywalker story. Now they have to resort to stupid tricks like killing Han Solo(the best character in star wars after vader as far as im concerned) just to push the story further.
