The Wolfy among us
It's no trouble at all, a mere DNS shift and we're able to enjoy the US content on the PC web browser. It has a huge library to stream. What's not to like?True, only problem is that it doesn't work on apps.
CarbonCore
How about Apple music? At 120 bucks a month, it has almost all the music I need and provides downloading as well. If the Android app wasn't so terrible and if it had a dedicated desktop app just for streaming I'd use it more often over Spotify.
Ethan_Hunt
True, only problem is that it doesn't work on apps. Yeah, that's a bit odd seeing as how they (DNS providers) have official guides set-up for the relevant devices.
Star Lord
Streaming is any day more ethical and faster than torrenting.I have discovered a lot of great music on Spotify and movies/TV shows on Netflix. blitzkreiig
Guys, does the Roku work in India? Has anyone tried streming using it. Please share your experiences.

Ethan_Hunt
US Amazon Prime has HBO shows like Veep, Empire, The Wire, Band of Brothers, Sopranos, Deadwood, Hung etc. The newer ones are only available on Hotstar in India.
Mr.HaPPineSS
Torrent it is, then. For some reason, I hate hotstar, I can't get myself to watch anything on it. Just use a dns and watch other region content, with your netflix and prime. Duh
puns
Saw this today: https://www.airtel.in/internet-tv/
AtheK
they had called me, they are giving 25 GB data free to people who have airtel broadband. But my guess is 1 hr of streaming for HD channel will consume approximately 1 GB/Hr, so if you watch tv for 3-4 hrs a day, you need close to 100 GB data for this. ayush12ice
Is this return of their IPTV services? anyway, checked prices, 8k an year does not seem great without knowing the list of channels and price for add-on connections. Edit: @ Athek; i don't think using this to watch regular channels would use your broadband data limits. Edit: @ Athek; i don't think using this to watch regular channels would use your broadband data limits. It includes all the SD and HD channels they have on normal DTH. I have asked for a call back, let's see. Tata Sky is asking 8500 for a year for all HD channels, i can actually buy this at a cheaper cost. Plus no need for two STB's, Just need an extra power adapter in all three rooms. Move the STB around..easy.
ayush12ice
Ah ok... Is airtel now offering the same no. of HD channels as Tata sky? Also, what do you mean by no 2 STBs? Currently i have 3 tata sky connections (1 primary and 2 addon) with 3 separate STBs.
Aftrunner
This is not bad. One of my TV already has the HTPC plugged in but if Tata Sky can just offer me a smart box for 1000~ with prime youtube and Netflix, I would upgrade that. I dont need any additional channels, keep the rest same. Edited April 15, 2017 by Aftrunner
