ALPHA17
So watched a whole lot of such compilation videos about the game-play and these are my opinions, THE GOOD, Physicality in interaction with the world (improved traversal mechanics, additional animations for emplacements and vehicular interactions) Multi-unit vehicles Dynamic weather system Setting THE BAD, Split the class(s) archetypes up but did not fix the issue of people ditching aircraft(s) / vehicle(s) and seamlessly transitioning to combat TTK and damage model needs a lot of work (I feel toning down the number of rapid fire guns and upping the per shot damage will be a step in the right direction) THE MEDIOCORE, Mini-map and 3D spotting still exists Auto-regeneration of health should just die Too many semi-automatic weapons and all weapons are accesible across teams, ideally the weapon(s) should be split up by faction and after attaining a certain skill level in a class you should be allowed to take on a trophy weapon from the opposition arsenal In-game micro-transactions and DLC map packs

Heaven Angel
Why is "In-game micro-transactions and DLC map packs" even taken in account? The micro-transactions are cosmetics, and DLC maps packs have been there for ages. Multiplayer game, so it is expected. Agree with other things though. ALPHA17
The micro-transactions are cosmetics, and DLC maps packs have been there for ages. Multiplayer game, so it is expected. Well Overwatch, Siege and TITANFALL 2 of all the games are coming out with free map-packs. I do not see the reason for BattleField to continue in the same vein and it is not like they do not have the statistics to show how poorly DLC map-packs do. Dude witcher taash is coming, what are you even doing here Dude aap apne platform ko sambhalo, what are you even doing here. Heaven Angel
Didn't know Siege maps were free. What a waste of season pass. Well, the quality of Battlefield maps compared to other games have always been better and they are spread of 2 years, which is good. The maps in general are big, while other games mentioned are just small corridor shooting. Also, Battlefield 4 did have couple of free maps. (and eventually they do end up giving those DLC packs on the house over time)
ALPHA17
Well, the quality of Battlefield maps compared to other games have always been better and they are spread of 2 years, which is good. The maps in general are big, while other games mentioned are just small corridor shooting. Also, Battlefield 4 did have couple of free maps. (and eventually they do end up giving those DLC packs on the house over time) The quality of maps in BattleField 4 was middling at best. There were some standouts (Zavod, Guilin Peaks, most of Naval Strike and Final Stand) but Second Assault, China Rising and Dragon's Teeth were really on the line. Also, we all know what servers are currently running packed, its mostly just Op METRO / LOCKER 24 x7. The DLC maps are almost impossible to find (within constraints). The only reason the free maps were given was because they really dropped the ball on the launch of the game. Also, it took them a six months or so to get the map out to the public from CTE to the final release, which approximately the same time a MOD team would require to deliver something of the requisite calibre. But we have no MOD tools. The On the House release of map packs is I think EA's last ditch attempt at resuscitating the number of gamers playing the game because the follow up titles to BattleField 4 (Hardline and BattleFront) have done abysmally in retaining their player-base. Didn't know Siege maps were free. What a waste of season pass. Season Pass gives you I think a week or two advance access to operators. Heaven Angel
Not a fan of Second Assault and China Rising myself. You gotta note that those others games die way faster than Battlefield. Hence they keep releasing maps for free to keep it alive. Last time Titanfall was dead before the season pass content rolled out, and later all those new maps were just empty. Siege has merely ~5-6K players/time. Overwatch - well, Blizzard has their own crowd. When comparing these to Battlefield, EA has no reason to give maps for free. The game stays alive on its own for long and by the time it starts to fade, they release premium maps. Yes, DLC map do die quickly after few weeks, but at least keeps the population alive and hook old players back in. __ No French. No Russians. That's an odd choice. Given both had more hand in WW1 than Americans. If I recall, the Americans didn't even enter until 1917. Heaven Angel
Seem like it'll arrive as DLC. In an interview by the french newspaper "Le Monde" 1 hour ago, DICE strategy director Julien Wera revealed : Translated: The french army is present in the singleplayer. About the multiplayer, french army role during ww1 was so important that we're planning on a special treatment requiring more time. Making it playable after the game launch in a dedicated DLC We have no idea if it's gonna be paid content or not at the moment.

Aftrunner
LOL no French is hilarious. Its like doing WW2 without the Nazis. For crying out loud most of the war was fought on French land. Most of the causalities happened to the French.
ALPHA17
and i think there will be a hardcoar mode like BF4 where auto regen and vehicle health regen will not be there, along with no HUD Hardcoar mode is a piss-poor-macho-mode which tries to do hardcore the same way Call of Duty treats its mature political content. Building a game-mode by limiting the tools that were standard to you in the default version of the game does not make it hardcoar. That would be like Dark Souls being made difficult because their are infinite spawning enemies with you not being given any resources to overcome the challenge. without all that people won't play BF People used to play the game without these aids. Still can if the game is designed that way, instead of catering to the LCM by way of spectacle. Edited June 14, 2016 by ALPHA17
Heaven Angel
Battlefield 1 Is Frantic, Ridiculous Fun ...most of Battlefield 1 at this early stage feels like Bad Company 2. What stands out about Battlefield 1’s approach to classes so far is its introduction of two dedicated vehicle classes: tanker and pilot. These two classes allow you to spawn directly in your tank or plane of choice and come with unique loadouts that make use of the carbine weapon class. They can also repair vehicles from the inside, which gives them a slight advantage in the heat of battle. Vehicles, as in any Battlefield game, play a huge role in Battlefield 1. The light Renault FT-17, the Mark V, and the heavy A7V (the three tanks available in my demo) control as smoothly as armored warfare vehicles in previous Battlefield games, while still managing to preserve the clunky, archaic charm of the era.
