WhiteWolf
Sach4life You get these type of Races. See how you are changing tracks nd all during one race. And Iam not trying to compare sense of speed or anything. Just showing you what type of game experience Horizon 3 will offer. WhiteWolf
Demo will keep offering you new races. Play as long as you can coz moment you quit, game will erase all your progress as there's no save system in the demo. . CC Add me in friends list and race against my psycho Drivatar lol. pixeljunkie
WTF happened here? @WhiteWolf Sense of speed / acceleration has nothing to do with the type of racer. The FH francise is first an arcade racer and then an open world game. Forget sims such as PCars and AC for a moment and instead focus on arcade racers like NFS:HP, NFS:MW, NFS: Rivals, BP. When you watch their respective gameplay videos, you'll notice a number of artistic choices, that define the standard for any racing game, missing in FH3. 1) The tracks are devoid of wear and tear such as cracks 2) When racing motion blur is limited to the surrounding vegetation and not the track itself 3) The tracks are deliberately detailed with short broken center divider lines 4) The chase cam is always shaking and swings jarringly in the opposite direction when cornering 5) The chase cam's FOV is dynamic that changes with speed In FH3, 1) The tarmac roads are mostly perfect with no signs of wear and tear 2) Even if there were any wear and tear, it is incomprehensible when racing because of the motion blur applied to the tracks 3) The chase cam has a wide FOV and while it does move around (back and forth / left and right) it does so very slowly which kills any sense of speed 4) The FH2 and FH3 have a fixed horizon that hardly changes which again kills the sense of speed 4) The physics engine in FH3 isn't suited to arcade racing because it applies slow-motion to everything from racing to debris collision It's as if PG hired a bunch of amateurs who have never raced a single arcade racer in their entire lives. Either that or the game director hasn't a f***ing clue on what it takes to build an immersive arcade racer. Playground studio was established in 2010, by former employees of other well known British games developers, such as Codemasters, Bizarre Creations, Criterion Games, Ubisoft Reflections, Slightly Mad Studios, Black Rock Studio, Juice Games, Sony Liverpool and many other world-class developers that are known for their racing video games. Pretty sure they know more about racing games than you. And People from Evolution Studios is also working there now. pixeljunkie
Sounds like unrealistic acceleration, no traction, and loose handling provide more "immersion" to you in racers. Which is fine by the way. Whatever floats your boat. Hey whoa! I didn't set the standards for arcade racers. The NFS and burnout franchises did. I happen to like those standards just like most gamers out there. BTW i spoke mostly of artistic choices in my posts. Artistic choices add to / enhance gameplay. They are not gameplay elements. pixeljunkie
FH series is not at all arcadey like NFS and burnout. More like sim+arcade with much easier handling than Motorsport and GT. Seems like you are judging the game with the wrong perception. The general impression on the internet is that FH is a casual arcade racer. Sim is a sim. If its some sort of hybrid then its just a casual racer with some elements of a sim but still leans heavily towards an arcade racer.
CarbonCore
There is a simulation handling option with all assists turned off to get similar handling as FM series games, but I don't use it personally. FH is not a place for that.
WhiteWolf
Yeah, especially when you racing against Helicopter or jumbo jet lol. I set difficulty to medium and just explore the world to find new events, sign boards and Drivatars of my friends to challenge them New personal assistant ANA makes exploration lot of fun and easy. CarbonCore
To be clear, only assists I turn on is TC and Normal (non-sim) handling. Drivatards set to second highest difficulty, no rewinds and no guide lines on the road.

Forza Horizon 3 is a truly astonishing game and one that should not only be classified as one of the best driving games available right now, but one of the best games available, period. Few games provide as liberating an experience as getting behind the wheel of an exotic car in Forza Horizon 3, tearing through the Australian outback, and chasing the pack in the hopes of being the first to cross that finish line. Forza Horizon 3 is close to racing perfection, with stunning visuals, great Drivatar AI and enough content to keep you busy for months. From brand-building to a relentless reward system, this fast and friendly driving adventure in Australia has it all. Forza Horizon 3 is a compelling, all-round excellent racer that should appeal to both hardcore fans and first time players. All in all, Forza Horizon 3 is a truly great racing experience. The fact that the developers were able to combine their premier arcade racing with a new layer of depth and control is something definitely of note. Forza Horizon 3 is an invigorating open-world racer, although it may be a little too familiar to anyone who’s been down this road before. Bigger and better than its predecessor in every way, Forza Horizon 3 features a beautiful, incredibly diverse landscape, an impressive roster of over 350 meticulously-detailed cars, and an absolute ton of driving activities and challenges. Forza Horizon 3 is without doubt the finest arcade racer yet seen, and it looks set to become one of this generation's greatest games. Forza 3 Horizon is as beautiful as it is engaging Gorgeous is the best way to describe Forza Horizon 3. Forza Horizon 3 feels familiar with its already-polished gameplay, but the new setting, cars, and incredible customization options opens the throttle on an already-fantastic platform. The team has built on an already stable platform, bringing entirely new ways to play. I struggled to find a single thing I didn’t love about Forza Horizon 3, and that’s a fantastic problem to have. Forza Horizon 3 is a masterclass in open-world racing and bigger and better than its excellent predecessor across the board. It looks fantastic, the car selection and customisation is second to none, and the size and variety of the sprawling Australian outback is magnificent. Above all, Horizon 3 never loses sight of the fact that tearing through postcard-perfect locations should be fun, and it puts the tools in our hands to keep it that way, always. This is the racing game I’ve been waiting for, and it's officially my favourite thing on four wheels. A fair dinkum triumph, mates. THE GOOD Gorgeous environments Accessible driving controls Robust reward system Great mix of off-road and traditional races THE BAD Minor online performance issues Unappealing brand-building narrative Edited September 20, 2016 by Heaven Angel
