MightySkate
Too bad man. It's a long shot, but it could be worth the try. While booting up, press and hold the PS button and then retry the discs. Pls check your PM for the cust. support no.

lastAvenger
I am assuming due to the very low failure level of PS3's, no one over here has dealt ever with the tech support ?

MarketTantrik
^^ That is really crappy buddy. I hope you get the console fixed soon. From what I've heard, every official Sony service centre in each city can also repair their consoles. So if you have a "Sony World" around, call them up and ask them for the service centre contact details.

MarketTantrik
Yeah. They do offer paid services for out of region consoles. They will charge you approx 3-4 K to replace the drive lens and reading mechanism (at least thats what they charged for the PS2)
reaper
hope they do that .... 3-4k no problem .... better than buying a new console ... (30 k) and the problem is that i am getting AC and Uncharted this week .... but I hope Ace Combat 6 will keep me busy till my PS3 gets repaired. reaper
called the sony customer care centre .... they clarified "we are not authorised to service out of country consoles but we i can provide u the address of our service centres u can take ur console to them and may be they can help u" she also clarified that it is going to be a paid service. *no problem if its going to be a piad service unless its going to be fixed *
