called the sony customer care centre ....

they clarified "we are not authorised to service out of country consoles but we i can provide u the address of our service centres u can take ur console to them and may be they can help u" she also clarified that it is going to be a paid service.

*no problem if its going to be a piad service unless its going to be fixed :) *

Just get your a*s over to the service centre and hand over your console. They normally take 3 working days before they'll call you to inform you about the problem and the cost estimates for the repair. Once you give the go ahead, then they'll set about repairing it. So you can expect to wait for 7 days before you get your console back. Therefore, the sooner you give it in for repair, the better.

^^ :shock3:

thats awful mate....but thanks for informing everyone....btw, try taking it to grey market ppl and ask them if they can arrange for repairing your console. Some 1 year back, one guy in our office got his x360 (got on ebay thru a grey market vendor) repaired this way. But, the time taken was three months !

Or since someone said they have a paid service in Bombay, try checking with them too b4 going for a 40 GB model !
