Thats incorrect. If need be, they will take in your PS3 and send it abroad for repairs (at your cost of course). But by then, the chaps in the Indian service centres will be trained to open the PS3. From what I learnt from my last visit to Sony service centre, it appears they don't mind opening the PS3. Just that they don't have any spare parts with them as of now. So it is pointless for them to open the PS3 in the first place. As per the hardware engg. things will get better by end of December or early 2008. A few of our members have managed to ship their X360s to Australia for repairs and have received it back in full working condition.
