It really brings me on fire when i realize that its just 1 wk that i purchased my PS3 and it already got effected by SOD. I don't really understand what are F***ing measures they have taken before releasing the product into the market. But whom to blast, The plc i got it from he says how can we identify the pblms in the product well before the use, Sony service guys doesn't actually know anything about the new pblm. It really annoys me but what to do this is our country, we don't have any particular measures that can be taken by a consumer, so has to suffer. Was on all night downloading demos and just before that while playing Fifa09 demo it hanged in the middle, I tried to quit game and the system just restarted. But after that it was still reading discs and I played late into the night. This afternoon it doesnt read discs anymore. Can anyone give me some information regarding what to do : * PS3 bought July 2008 from Croma Rohini (Delhi) * 1 yr Sony warranty + 2 yr Croma extended warranty * Should I contact Sony or Croma? * Is there any way to perserve the games I bought off PSN? * What is the expected time of replacement in Delhi? * Any other useful information anyone can give would be great Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

saberwing Posted October 5, 2008 Report Share Posted October 5, 2008 ^ No they dont extend it, but some stores (I only know of Croma) let you purchase an extended warranty for any product at the time of purchasing. This is especially if you are a PSN downloaded game user...in this way..ur slot will remain with you...ELSE u will hv to purchase all the psn games again if all 5 slots are used....and you shud backup ur entire HDD to a portable HD b4 sending it !!!! Go to >> Account Management>Account Management>Activate System>PS3>Game Content>Deactivate And since you have past experience with SOD, any tips on how to make them replace my console faster? Sit on their head continously....call them...call..them...keep bugging them !!! You should enter their hall of irritated customer fame records !!! And as a replacement, what can i expect? A black new shiny PS3 !!! + don't forget to ask them for extended time period for the time lost during the replacement..I did so..and got 1 mth extended warranty !!!! Okay thanks for the info, but since I have the GT5 bundle, im guessing they wont ask for GT5 since its not mentioned anywhere on the PS3 box (only on the outer box).
