xXx Posted February 2, 2009 Report Share Posted February 2, 2009 ATLAST i got the Lens changed....its cost me 260 dhms...no warranty...but atleast my PS3 is back to life... the guy just took 23mins to repair the PS3....he opened it in front of me the PS3 he was amazing a doing that....he says.....he receives a PS3 for lens change around 10-20 PS3's every month ran the game GTA4 at his shop....which later he mentioned...that hide the game cover, as GTA4 is banned in UAE well i got that disc, on which my PS3 did a SOD, i told him now cant wait to play POP & waiting for KZ 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sandyamd Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 hey guys i had updated my ps3 to 2.60 and while gaming it stopped responding and now it does not read any disc but other than the ps3 is working fine. i had read some were that this is cos of 2.60 update and many r facing it. pls suggest me what should i do can reverting to factory setting can help or its a sod. if its sod were can i get it repaired in mumbai and for how much pls guy help me with this, i think its some thing to do with the update cos before this happened there were many error coming on screen like 8013013e connection error pls help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

nithin Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 Was playing resistance 2 yesterday... and console just froze... i restarted the machine and any disc doesnt get detected anymore. all demo's etc on the harddisk work just fine... Bought the ps3 on 1st of march 2008 so thankfully still have abt a mnth's warranty left. Ne idea whether the retailer will try to fix the issue or will he just give me a replacement? It took about 20 odd days, but finally got an 80gb ps3 as replacement yesterday Feel kinda lucky, cause my 40gb ps3 conked out when there was just a months warranty left and now i have the latest model. The Dude Posted February 28, 2009 Report Share Posted February 28, 2009 hey guys, i just dropped both my 40gb ps3's at sony service centre in mumbai sakinaka sagar tech plaza, i had both the warranty cards n they cut a service slip from each of the warranty cards and asked me to fill a form, well one of my ps3's had stopped detecting any of the controllers and also started to auto reboot every 2 mins and the other ps3 had an S.O.D so thats the reason i had to drop it at the service centre, well now the technician over there told me that id get a call from them after 4 days once the console has been opened and checked for repairs, i asked him if he could give me an instant replacement coz one of my ps3's had the box and the other one well i lost the box, he told me they dont instantly replace the console and if after 4 days i get a call and the company tells me that my console will be replaced, only then will i get a complete replacement. they also told me that for one of my consoles if at all it is being replaced, i wont be given the box but all the parts coming in it since i didnt give them the box while handing over the faulty ps3......now i dont know wether it realy will take a week for these guys to replace or repair my console coz thats what they promised when they took it and id like to ask any of my fellow g.i bredas here if they got their replacement in a week coz my cousin is coming home in a week and i realy realy realy want the ps3 to be there when he is here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Dude Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 hey yall g.i's, i finaly got both my ps3's back after replacement.......i gave my ps3 to the sony service centre on 28-2-09 and got it back on 19-3-09....hell of a wait but i guess there are some who had to wait even longer......got the 80 gb resistance 2 bundle as replacement for both my 40 gb ps3's.......the crappy part is i didnt get the damn game in both the boxes, only the console and accessories.......i enquired about this at the counter and they told me the games arent packed cz its a replacement console. darn it i realy wish the games wouldve been there......anyways having the ps3 back is big relief as its gona keep me company on those long hard lonely nights lol. My PS3 stopped reading any discs (game discs included) .... all other functions are normal .... it just doesnot read the damn discs ... .... it happened suddenly while i was playing COD 4 .... sh*t!! anyones got the number of a PS3 service centre in India??? contact sony india.Sorry to say but u have to get ur drive replaced.
