playstation
Nintendo is set to take over the mobile gaming market. Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem mobile games coming this fall. Soon all of their major franchises will have a mobile counterpart. For me Nintendo was keeping alive that aspect of video gaming which catered to every gamer.....Mario and all are something anyone can pick and play but now with mobile thing ....sala console gaming will take a back seat. Agent 47
NX will launch & be again be under-powered compared to Neo & Scorpio even the 13 million odd Wii-U users will not upgrade this time And..how do you know this...
playstation
Nintendo should just become a third party......it's about time they shouldn't wait for NX to fail & then take this decision NX will launch & be again be under-powered compared to Neo & Scorpio even the 13 million odd Wii-U users will not upgrade this time Nintendo has just lost all of it's console market ground they should earn from software & they will earn like never before Imagine their games on PC,Touch devices, phones,TV's & PS/Xbox combined They are not good console makers also....their consoles are not region free...their online thing is so messed up...bc tied with console and if console goes bad call the customer care and give them details ..then they ask questions and then they will decide if they will transfer your games to new console... i read one customer's review with this kinda of experience quite some time back....he was quite upset with Nintendo ...did not follow if he got it transfered or not but initially he was very upset......mc log ....mafia aur yakuza jaisa system bana diya hai...joh boss bolega wohi hoga..... Clenched_Balls
Apparently entire South India is down. I blame Kabali for it [emoji14] Haha, everybody that I've asked are under the same conception. Yesterday, I posted it on reddit and one of the replies cited the same. The hype is soo effin real . Probably they're preppin for the release of a pokemon go kabali edition in the south Edited July 23, 2016 by Clenched_Balls
Shadoken
Ank is right. Pokemon has never been more relevant than when it originally launched. And Guess what platform its on? OH THATS RIGHT NOT A FKING NINTENDO. But its ok , let Ninty squander away all their money on making consoles. Then when they go bankrupt and die the 16 bit war will be over at last. KyoyaHibari
All Pokemon game sells more than any other console exclusives. Even with only 13 mil sales of Wii U games like mario kart sell over 5 mil. Then there are Amiibos. They will get profits one way or the other. No way Nintendo gonna drop the ball anytime soon. Sach4life
Nx is going to be a success. Yes, mark this post and come back to me after 2 years Also, with success i mena decent hardware sales numbers with great software sales numbers and very good financial results (thing that matters the most). Shadoken
I mean they can keep catering to their 10-15m Core audience , but what is their strategy for the long term? Dedicated hardware is super competitive market. If they are just going to remain a niche but Highly profitable competitor. Then yea , their IPs will slowly lose relevance in the mainstream. Dedicated hardware is super competitive market. If they are just going to remain a niche but Highly profitable competitor. Then yea , their IPs will slowly lose relevance in the mainstream. Even by being 'niche' their games sell more than other exclusives. Not to forget huge number of copies their games sell on 3ds. It all depends on what nx is. If it is a hybrid and they combine their handheld and home console market, it is going to be big, not 10-15 million core machine. Not to forget, when they combine their handheld and home console developement, droughts will be way less even if 3rd parties ditch them. Sach4life
There is a lot of difference in vita and wii u. Nx would pretty much decide where nintendo goes as a hardware maker. Just be sure of one thing, though, never ever count nintendo out. They can change things upside down anytime.
KyoyaHibari
If it's an handheld & console hybrid then it's a different case entirely But manufacturing a system that sells 13m & selling software on it to turn profit is a much less lucrative business than just selling software on other available hardware For them owning a platform makes little to no sense as they hardly getting any third party royalty anyway PSvita has sold 14m & sony has decided to call it a quits The handheld situation with smart devices running around is not bright either We all should expect nintendo to become third party.....I really can't understand what's the loss in that as a gamer With the console they are main players. More investors, more scope. They get money not only from consoles, each gen they make toys, amiibos kind of stuff and get loads of money there. If ninty becomes just a third party developer its the worst thing that could happen to them. Look at sega where are they after becoming third party. They will lose all the investors. To keep the flow of money they will try their best with new strategies again and again. Its not like if Wii U failed they have absolutely no future at all. If they can come up with good strategy next time, they can still succeed. Also they are not a niche market. They make good family oriented games, and that market is always huge. Wii U has sold 13m units at a very high profit margin unlike PS4 and XB1. For example if Mario Kart sells right now 5m on Wii U. But if they release Mario Kart on PS4/XB1 would it really sell THAT much more that it can over come the loss of revenue from a ) Paying Royalties to Sony/MS b ) Loss from no Console selling With the console they are main players. More investors, more scope. They get money not only from consoles, each gen they make toys, amiibos kind of stuff and get loads of money there. All investors want Nintendo to make games on other platforms. They are trying hard to convince them otherwise , but Investors wan Ninty games on other platforms. Also what are you saying about Sega? The minute they went 3rd party they released some of their best selling games ever. Virtua Fighter 4,Sonic Heroes,PSO,Total War. The problem with Sega was the bet on the wrong horse (Xbox) , thanks to that dickhead Peter moore. If their top Franchises had gone to PS2 they would have not died. And current Sega has other problems , such as pressure from investors to move to mobile and pachinko BS. Going 3rd party moved their Market cap to $4bn , they are the biggest 3rd party publisher after EA and Acti. Sonic Dash has over 200m downloads and that was a year ago , way more relevant now than in Dreamcast Era despite releasing sh*t games( Sonic games were way better on Dreamcast). If Nintendo just keep milking the same 13m audience over and over again , their franchises will soon start losing relevance to new generation of gamers. Ones who are not growing up playing Handhelds and Nintendo consoles. Our Generation fondly remembers Mario,Zelda,Pokemon...etc. but that was when Ninty was selling 100m consoles and Mario was on 40m of them. So we dont mind paying premium price to buy Wii U + Mario just because they are good games. But after a decade would a person who has never played a Mario game bother paying premium price for Nintendos system , even if is a really good game ? Shadoken
Just one thing, mario kart 8 has sold over 7 million copies, not 5. Lol am just using it an example. Point is would it actually sell 13m or something on PS4/XB1 to make up for the loss in revenue? And remember all WiiU games keep their $60 price tag throughout. Maybe ...or Maybe not. But anyway its a hard decision for Nintendo thats for sure. I want to see how NX will turn out. The days of Gameboy and DS are long gone thanks to mobile phones Also back on topic , I am finally starved for pokeballs now. I am lvl 19 and they dont give you too many per level now , so it looks like I gotta keep making more pokestops. Cant just keep catching crap pokemon , only the good ones :\ Also since the game is rolling out in many countries , I wonder if indian release is also soon.
