Classic Game of the Day

One of the best NFS games ever built . Have fond memories of this game driving the boxster. But now I hate the fact that, EA had exclusive license to Porsches(which will end soon)

I was about to post this one..I came to this game, after my initial experience with Test Drive 6 - which was an ok arcade racing game for me. This is my first car racing game which I played for a long time.Loved the aspect of exploring history of Porsche ,vehicle take damage which impact in performance, you can repair the vehicle before match,,customize your vehicle, different tires for different types of road etc etc,, - for me this is insane during that time and kind of real life tutorial to cars,,good memories..

Remember playing this game 10 yrs ago with a friend whole night ,when I was young. I fell in love with this game , this was one of the first zombie games and good TPS (although horrible controls on a PS2). And Leon became my favorite character . Shame I never completed the game. The game's starting sequence still gives good vibes when I remember it.

And this was the game which actually derailed resident evil as a franchise.. Not saying this game was bad I had a blast as well... So much fun.. But let's be honest this games action approach success is what churned re5 and re6...

Greatest video game of all time, lost the count of times i have played this. Shinji mikami :majesty:

I was playing tekken with my friend at the game parlour and someone was playing re4 village sequence on ps2. After that I stood there and watched him play, i was amazed by the intensity and tension. I asked which game is this and bought a pc copy. Went home and played all night. It strongly recommended to play with a controller but shops were closed by the time it installed and i adopted to keyboard only. Completed this sh*t again and again with keyboard. Nothing like this game man, nothing like it. Only Dark souls shares the throne with it. Once the re4 hd project is done will play it again.

I would happily trade every RE/SH/FF/every other survival horror game made for one RE4. Thats how goddamn good that game is.

Still you can't deny that it's the sole reason the series went wayward..

RE4 is exceptional. Its the single most powerful gaming experience of all time for me. Its the game that had me at hello.

I don't like the idea of remasters and have avoided every remaster of games released except for RE4. Had it on the ps2, bought the HD ver on the ps3, and I'll get it on the ps4 as well. Hell if I had a PC you can be sure re4 would be part of my library. That's how much I love this game.

Is it one of the best games? NO.

It is the BEST game ever.

Hmm. Maybe I'll give it a shot then. I remember getting it on the PS2. I was quite young and couldn't even cross the first room, or something like that. I couldn't really figure out where to go and instantly disliked the controls. I then put it aside and never really got back to it, ever.

Well. Better late than never. But, with the remaster, have they improved the controls at all?

Holy sh*t, how have you never played it. Its literally available on everything from toasters to washing machines.

Seriously though, its one of the very VERY few games I would classify as must play. Like SMB 3, OoT and DX.

Have so much backlog, that playing this game now. But, still in 2016, was blown away by the uniqueness of this game. That "cure" mechanics, bond style opening, save using radio frequencies, long discussions on classic movies....and i've played it just for 2-3 hours. I wonder why there arent many copy-cats.

Though i liked the no hand holding part, but its a bit frustrating at times. Like no mention how to cancel the shot, was hanging from the bridge in the initial section, tried all different buttons, but snake was not pulling himself up(and fell to game over screen after a while). But its a timeless classic indeed and need someone a bit weird to come up with something like this.

Have to try this too. This backlog will never end :( .

RE 4.

Own it on PS3, PC and will get on PS4. Such an epic game.

As a massive RE fan (played all games on PS1), when I played RE4, I loved it. Never felt like RE changed for worst etc. If felt like a natural upgrade because of new tech etc.

But RE5 took it too far. Co-op/fighter AI partner wasn't needed at all. RE6 killed the franchise.
