It's definitely comfortable to use, but the lack of rumble, gyro and wireless functionality is definitely a bummer. The biggest issue that I have with the current gen model is that it's huge. It's super hard to find a case that fits the console + split pad when attached. The new model seems to be rectifying only the size issue. Yes, it cannot be docked. I switch between this and Hori Split pad pro. In general it's a good idea to only dock with no cover on. Switch is meant to be docked without cover. While docking your Seitch also gets charged, and if you dock it with cover - it will get too hot. Super well built with a rechargable battery that can be swapped for AAs and has two rear buttons that can be programmed. Works with PC via BT.
