Missing out big time. I dont like open world games either but what nintendo achieved with botw is something magical

This. BOTW ruined open world games for me. I don't seem to be able to enjoy games like Horizon after playing BOTW. Everything else feels average.

How do you guys manage the expenses for the physical games? like is there any cheaper vendor than Amazon? do y'all import? or is eShop only option?

I was checking on amazon and game prices range from 4.5-5.5k, even BOTW which is 5 years old iirc costing 5.5k

Those arent the prices switch games sell for. Brand new releases cost around 3.8k, while used games trade between 3k to 3.5k depending on the game. Botw goes for 3.7k brand new or 3-3.1k uses

But yes, Nintendo first party games normally dont drop below 3k even for older ones as they become collectible over time.

Local resellers are much cheaper. Amazon is pretty sh*t for anything related to Switch.

Amazon prices are crap

try other sellers for a good price for new or pre-owned

Nintendo games hold value for a long time, so you can kick back, relax and play games at leisurely pace and then sell off for a good price without worrying about exponential drop in value
