Not sure about the performance increase, but visually, 4K is still the best way to experience this game. At 1440p, with “Quality” DLSS, despite looking sharper than TAA, it looks heavily post-processed with noticeable artifacts… You can go with it if there’s any performance gain.

I think rockstar would launch a current gen version and would charge $70 for it.

Since I never bought the game, I won't have any problem with paying for it even if it is just R* greed. I just want them to hurry up with it.

The DLSS Update made my FPS go from 45-50 to 90-95. Game looks sharper than ever. All Ultra @ 1080p on 3070 FE.

You mean the 3070 wasn't even able to do 1080p60 earlier? That seems kinda low.

I remember seeing some benchmarks where it was able to do 1440p60 easily.

I watched those videos as well but yeah, I wasn't getting 60fps at all Ultra 1080p. 50 max.

I just checked a video where it goes to 60fps on some settings on Medium and High. as suggested by Hardware Unboxed.

That's pretty insane!

There must be some fancy, over the top graphics settings which absolutely drain your performance, but don't really have a worthwhile visual benefit.
