Should I sell my PS2 (with HDD) ???

Hey there guys,

Since most of you guys know, I've been wanting to buy a modded Wii and I wanna buy it as soon as possible, before all the modded or moddable wii are sold out....

So now I've been thinking of selling my FAT PS2, which is in GREAT CONDITION, has a network adapter installed with a 160 GB Samsung HDD :D and am getting somewhere around 10k for this setup. I do have somewhere around 200+ PS2 HK silvers but am not gonna sell them...

So what do you guys think, should I sell my PS2 and buy a Wii ??? Will i miss my PS2 :P Is a modded Wii worth it ?? and this is coming from a guy who has never even played a gamecube game :P

Although I do think I can buy myself a PS2 later on when they become dirt cheap, just like what happened to the PSone :P or get a PS3, which will of course be able to play PS2 games :) What do you guys think ?

Thanx in advance for all the advice :D

yes its totally worth it .... and the new wii's can also be modded but its a more tedious process than just soldering 2 wires....

the wii games are great fun .... and with the additional gamecube controller its as good as u have a gamecube and a wii....

make sure u buy a us wii....

-Cheers!!

Go ahead the Wii is a great buy. But dont expect to be playing with Jessica Alba just because you bought one. ;)

The slim PS2 is already cheap, you can buy one for 6700/- from Alfa.

I've decided....am not gonna sell my PS2. Mostly coz of THREE reasons, first...its the ULTIMATE SETUP that ANYONE can get for their PS2s, second...there are some REALLY GOOD games coming up for the PS2 :D, THIRD, the current set of Wii modchips are outdated and can quite easily be outwitted by a newer firmware upgrade and anyways the current Wii motherboards that are coming in, the dreaded D2C motherboard, are unmoddable...so am gonna wait up for the NEXT GENERATION of Wii modchips to arrive :D

Till then, am just gonna go and buy all the Wii HK Silvers that I can :P Just so I won't miss out on them :P

A wise decision i feel

no console till date is good enough to live up to a setup like you have right now..

hmmm.. yeah.. I noticed no body posted since a long time.

Iposted coz i faced a similar situation when i sold my ps2.. i've used xbox 360 & ps3 after thT..but gaming is not that fun on these two.. I wish i could get my Ps2 n collection of games... I am Tired of playing under fear of 3RROD(which eventually occured & I still have 4 games i did not start playing even) and paying heavy prices for PS3 games...
