But that torture scene in the trailer was just too much .... it felt like a scene from a b-grade torture movie, that's not what TLOU was about. IMO, torture in video games is not good at all, I didn't like that scene in GTA V too. It's not something that should be encouraged ! Once you lay out your world, the characters in it and the way it works, brutality like that has context and makes sense. A 3 minute snippet like that though has no context and really does look like torture porn. Especially if you haven't played the first game and are just watching a trailer. For example, I am sure, if I ripped out the page containing "that part" from The Road and scanned and pasted it here, people would be absolutely f**king horrified. It is very literally nightmarish. But in the context of the world it makes sense. Its not gratuitous. So yeah, it was probably a poor choice to go with that scene.
