Wow, the level of U-turns in this thread.

Credit where credit is due, DICE really have managed to make a really good looking, decently smart playing game. Starfighter flight model is still f**ked if you are playing using Keyboard and Mouse.

Lol Can't wait for Joe to come and defend this sh*t

Progression is tied to loot boxes and these loot boxes also turns pvp into p2w game by giving players advantage over other players in pvp

Hey Joe

Eurogamer: Star Wars Battlefront 2 has a loot crate problem.

Full details here

The only way to get new abilities and weapons in Battlefront 2 is from opening loot crates, bought either with in-game currency or real-world currency, price TBD. Either you randomly receive the ability or weapondirectly from the loot crate, or you randomly receive an amount of scrap to go towards eventually crafting it - although scrap costs are high and amounts received torturously low.

Proof pvp is p2w

Totally turned me off in the beta. I lost several encounters simply because they other side has better cards ... Just because they started the beta earlier. I can imagine how bad it will be when people can pay for them.

After playing the beta this confirms that game is purely going P2W model. I was happy for the fact that DLC's will be free of cost and no season pass BS. But adding MT's in a full priced multiplayer game which has game changing abilities is worst. Not to mention if you don't buy any of those crates it can get you to endless grind.

I would not just pour my 60$ on a game just to get my a*s wooped by some random guy who's buying loot crates in the game.

All online games are an endless grind. You play, you get stuff, you get better, you continue.

Sure one can spend all the money but that doesn't buy your skills.

Anyways, with limited time, MP is like 20% for me. SP and arcade are what I'm interested mostly.
