Tyler
Eh, it looks alright, pretty much what I expected. The constant interruptions during combat are annoying but I can see why they focused on that so much for the gameplay trailer. They want the whole thing to look "cinematic". Right now it doesn't look like a "OMG I need to get this right now" kind of game to me (much like the first one). Also the art and color palette is dreadful, I mean I know it's Mordor but man I could really use some color. Hope the game has some variety. I like that there's a proper gear system now. WhiteWolf
Gameplay trailer was heavily scripted with lot of hud option removed just for the trailer. Final game will be totally non linear. You can build your own army in any way you like and game will also have Diablo style loot system. It focuses more on Nemesis system this time. Your main goal is to create your own army and go against Lord Sauron and his army of Orcs. And wtf you want green and colourful Mordor? Mordor in LOTR movies is not green and colourful lol Edited March 9, 2017 by WhiteWolf
l33tmaniac
Let's not forget that they showed Osgiliath and few other places near Gondor. So there is definitely going to be more variety in the landscape I guess. I am super excited for the game being a Tolkien fan! The first one had a lot of subtle references that went way beyond Peter Jackson's trilogy managed to show of Middle Earth. Excited to see how much more Middle-Earth lore gets incorporated into this game!
hope
WTFisdisshit.Everything looked good until the gameplay started. So bad Instant No.Impact is so light.Didnt get any feel he is slashing a head or a leg .Tomato maybe? This goes right up with ScaleBound E3 Reveal.sh*t. Nemesis System is Great though.Sadly Combat is so uninteresting BB Combat with Nemesis System will be Amazing . KyoyaHibari
lol did you try to mix combat and gadgets? if you just mash buttons it becomes boring Mashing buttons won't even get you far, at least on hard or higher. It's got quite a lot of depth, especially combo changing.
Heaven Angel
The shadow of mordor was too easy, hope they listened to us and made it harder this time.
WhiteWolf
The shadow of mordor was too easy, hope they listened to us and made it harder this time. Every Action RPG gets easy once you max out skill tress nd get better weapons...Do you want me to ZD video where i kill Behemoth under 5mins on hard? or do you want me to show video where i destroy Griffon in 5mins in Witcher 3 on DM difficulty? When i started ZD, i was getting my butt kicked even on normal but now even hard is easy. Same goes for Witcher, Skyrim and Fallout... They should add a option where enemies are always same level as you like Souls games. Edited March 10, 2017 by WhiteWolf
Big Boss
Calling this or Mordor a RPG is a joke.
WhiteWolf
Calling this or Mordor a RPG is a joke. It's action rpg like your Diablo and Souls games with skill tree and loot system . Rpg mechanics are not super deep like Witcher nd all. But there are rpg mechanics whether you like it or not. Heaven Angel
Having skill and loot system doesn't make a game RPG. If that's the case, then pretty much every game is RPG. Calling this or Mordor a RPG is a joke. Mafia III is aRPG too because it has SKILLZZZ and LOOT system. #ZODLOGIC

Mafia III is aRPG too because it has SKILLZZZ and LOOT system. #ZODLOGIC It's action adventure with rpg elements if not true rpg. Game has lot of rpg elements, even more in Sequel. Borderlands is shooter with rpg elements, Farcry is shooter with rpg mechanics. Even in video they say it's action rpg. Go check For you rpg needs to have dialogues wheel nd all. Tyler
Every game has XP/leveling up and skill trees these days, doesn't make it an RPG. By that logic even the Batman games are RPGs as well as almost all of Ubisoft stuff like AC, Far Cry, W_D etc. Even in an "action RPG" you are creating builds, unique characters specializing in certain areas and stats are as important as your skill. In Mordor you're basically a jack of all trades where only the order in which you unlock stuff matters. That's just my opinion, feel free to call it whatever you want though. WhiteWolf
So, according to you it's Action adventure with Rpg mechanics? I know It's not true rpg but there are lot rpg elements. And for sequel they are adding loot system with different stats along with your skill tree and xp levelling system.
WhiteWolf
OT Tyler What about ZD? Aloy can become jack of all trades like Farcry games and crafting system also exactly like as Farcry. So, will you call it RPG? Sony is selling it as a true RPG.
Tyler
HZD is an action/adventure game to me. It's put it in the same genre as Mordor, Batman, AC, Far Cry 3/4 etc. It does have light RPG elements as you have a limited control over how Aloy reacts in certain situations. Y'know I could type out an essay about what an RPG really is. Because right now it seems like if a game has dialog wheels, loot, XP and skill trees it somehow becomes an RPG.
