Too much nerf on it. HHSN nerf would have been fine but killing off Contraverse Hold will suck. It was top tier PvE exotic but will be nerfed because of PvP crybabies.

On the other end of the spectrum, paths such as Voidwalker bottom, Nightstalker bottom, and Striker middle needed some love, so we’ve taken steps to lift them up.

Let's see.

Contraverse hold in PvE. Why? Its pretty much exclusive to PvP. The changes are fine. With self damage introduced, it will stop the random spamming. Also they are buffing its super. So its kinda balanced.

Also they should nerf the hunter knife. Atleast it shouldnt one hit kill.

Nah, maybe during Forsaken which was honestly the best time to switch. Ever since then and especially after splitting from Activision, they've been fumbling like idiots and making boneheaded decisions. Its no surprise that some of the best content in D2 is made by Acti's support studios, and now that they're gone all Bungie does is polish the trinkets in EV store, make shitty versions of Menagerie and look for next set of things to nerf.

I agree Forsaken was the best expansion in Destiny history. But the game has been getting better since forsaken. They are bringing back Trials and if they can include a raid every other season, it would be perfect.

Obviously they are missing the two teams from Activision, but they are not charging as much as Activision. Steam is miles better than battle.net.

The best expansion in destiny history was the taken king imo.. Bought it launch day and stopped in few days never bothered with other dlcs and once the taken king dropped I have not played any other game as much as destiny..

You never used in PvE?  It is fantastic. Top tree Nova -> cooked grenades with Contraverse Hold -> gets your nades back almost instantly. I never take it off unless switching to Luna well or Phoenix setup.

Still hoping they will only change it for HHSN and not nerf Chaos Accelerant synergy.

Yeah, I would love to see more raids. But from what I heard, the smaller teams (Vicarious Visions) helped with Scourge and Crown which were added during mid year of the game.

I don't see raid happening till September expansion launch.

Trials had its own set of drama this week. Cozmo said they're not removing artifact power which became the most downvoted comment by a Bungie employee on reddit, r/DTG as a whole blew up along with Bungie twitter and forums, which ultimately made Luke Smith do a 180 and remove artifact advantage from Trials. What was hilarious was that Cozmo tried to justify it by saying "but D1 trials had power advantage too". And then people had to explain to him why D1 power and D2 power is different and why everyone is up in arms about artifact in Trials. Its like they don't even play their own fking game.

Its a temp fix for now. They are planning to bring back artifact power level advantage again but with a cap. They just wanna release Trials without any backlash. AFAIK D1 trials also had power level cap.

4th Horseman

Of course they brought back the meme shotgun over Invectus or Universal Remote because both of them would've broken the current PvP meta with their perks. Another reason why PvP balance is the cancer to this game.

This Week At Bungie 3/5/2020

Power raise

  • We’re raising the ‘cap’ for gear drops 40 points—powerful gear will now drop up to 1000, with pinnacle drops going up to 1010. The soft cap has also been effectively raised 50 points.

More pinnacle sources

  • We’ll be upgrading some existing powerful rewards to pinnacle rewards. These are the weekly Crucible, Strike, and Gambit challenges, as well as the weekly clan engram.

Eververse -Daily Rotation of Returning Items

In the place of Bright Engrams, a new module will become available on the Eververse Store starting in Season of the Worthy. This daily-rotating module will feature one item from a small selection of ships, Sparrows, Ghosts, and finishers that were offered in previous Seasons. These items will be available to purchase directly for Silver at a discount from the original price.

Aside from these changes, there aren’t any other major shifts coming for Eververse. We’ll be monitoring the conversation through launch and beyond, and will be sure to update you before any large changes come. Here’s a quick preview of some upcoming items coming with Season of the Worthy:

Exotic Armor tuning

Hunter

Assassin's Cowl

  • The invisibility and healing effect now triggers on powered melee (both against combatants and Guardians) and finishers.
  • The duration of the invisibility granted by this Exotic increases based on the tier of the enemy defeated.
  • Arc Staff kills no longer activate this perk.

FROST-EE5 - Changed the ability regeneration so that it no longer stacks multiplicatively with other class ability energy-generating perks.

Khepri's Sting - All smoke bombs deal 150% damage while wearing this Exotic.

Orpheus Rig - The maximum amount of Super you can regain from this Exotic with a single use of Shadowshot is 50%.

Young Ahamkara's Spine - Increases the explosion radius for Tripmines by 14%.

Titan

Ashen Wake - Killing an enemy with a Fusion Grenade while wearing this Exotic now refunds grenade energy. The amount of grenade energy refunded scales based on the tier of enemy killed.

Anteus Wards - The shield created during a slide no longer allows chip damage through.

Doomfang Pauldrons - Fixed a bug where Doomfang Pauldrons would sometimes grant Super energy from melee kills while in your Super.

Dunemarchers - Increase the radius of the static charge to 20 meters, up from 12.

Mk. 44 Stand Asides - Reduced the delay from the start of sprinting until the overshield comes in to 0.5 seconds, down from 1.25.

One-Eyed Mask

  • The target marking from this Exotic has been replaced with target highlighting, eliminating the ability to detect targets through walls.
  • No longer provides a damage bonus when defeating your marked target.
  • Restored the previous overshield granted by defeating your marked target, which now has a duration of 6 seconds, down from 8.

Severance Enclosure

  • The explosion now triggers on powered melee (both against combatants and Guardians) and finishers.
  • The radius and damage of the explosion created by this Exotic increases based on the tier of the enemy defeated.

Warlock

Apotheosis Veil - This Exotic is now guaranteed to drop with a minimum +16 to Intellect.

Contraverse Hold - Reduced the damage reduction granted by this Exotic to 20%, down from 40%.

Sanguine Alchemy - Sanguine Alchemy has received a complete redesign. Its new perk, Blood Magic, allows the wearer to pause the countdown timer of any Rift they are standing in by getting weapon kills, extending the Rift's duration.

Ophidian Aspects - Now increases the lunge range of all Warlock melee attacks, even if the ability is on cooldown.

Verity's Brow

  • The buff provided by this Exotic now increases your grenade damage by 10% per stack.
  • The buff to allies' grenade recharge rates now kicks in when you cast your grenade.
  • This Exotic now provides a buff text notification indicating how many allies are currently benefiting from your increased grenade recharge.

Solid tuning! :wOOtjumpy:

TWAB_Legendary_Armor_16-9_1.jpg?cv=39836

Legendary Engrams

  • Increased the number of armor sets available from world drops to 11 sets, up from 3.
  • This will include Faction Rally armor. Players who own previous Faction Rally Ornaments may apply them to these sets.
  • Several sets that were previously unavailable or extremely difficult to acquire are now available as world drops.

Armor Stats

  • Prime Engrams will now more reliably drop armor with higher overall stat rolls and spikier distributions.
  • Exotic armor will now more reliably drop with higher overall stat rolls.
  • Legendary armor now has an improved chance of receiving higher overall stat rolls, though low rolls will still be present.

Next week, Season of Dawn ends and Season of the Worthy kicks off with the release of Destiny 2 Update 2.8.0. Please see below for the rollout timeline.

Heck even during Warmind and Forsaken when everything was being buffed left n right, Orpheus was the only one being hit by constant re-tuning to make it less effective. And people still kept using it because trapper subclass has f**kall support exotics.

Sadly bad start. Community is so pissed.

  • ALL old stats,  high-scores, flawless clears, every stat from emblems wiped out.
  • No pinnacle or ritual weapons.
  • No badges.
  • No grind.
  • No vendor reset.
  • Less bright dust items.
  • Only Iron Banner ritual bow which is from last season that got delayed.
  • Seals with massive FOMO.
  • The Enlightened Seal no longer requires the flawless GoS clear is awful change.
  • Sword and Ball skating are gone.
  • There are 8 new exotic ghost shells (7 eververse), 8 new exotic ships (7 eververse), 10 new exotic sparrows (8 eververse) and 8 new finishers (7 eververse). To buy only those things, you would need 21.800 Silver. That is over 200€. And don't forget that this doesn't include any emotes, armour sets or ornaments.
  • Legendary lost sectors are normal lost sectors with champions.
  • This seasons loop seems to be reskined obelisks. And even more chore.
  • The new public event gets really stale after two runs. Which is the ONLY new thing added to the game at season launch.
  • One new weapon perk - Celetrity
  • All trash new weapons.
  • No update to old content. Same pinnacle sources. No raid rotation.

It is just 24/7 public event and bounties in lost sector at the moment.

Good stuff: the UI changes are nice. Feels smooth. Tower loading is fast now. I guess that's it... ?
