I see very low activity on the HR side when I look for an SoS on the PS4 side. MR isn't too crowded now either, but that's where I join most of the SOS quests. I would suggest saving the crown farming trophies towards Iceborne as well. You can farm the ones which give your guaranteed crows from the events. There is also some trophy for the random animal spawn capture that needs to be done, which is again dam boring. They should have really made the trophies to be skill based challenge ones (the arena one is one of those), rather than these RNG based stupidity. How's the arena hunt going? It's boring tbh, swapping between the kulu ya ku and the 30 vespoids challenge. the kulu grind is easier and some what funner also, you basically flash him and use the DB demon mode combo on him, repeat that whenever else you get him disabled and he dies, best i've managed in 2 min 30 sec. arena is horrible, the monsters are scaled towards 2 places, no cat, no mantles, equipment is intentionally sh*t, the only thing it is good for is to I think "stress test" practice of a weapon type you are unfamiliar with. The crown farming is ok, because it also benefits the 500 monsters trophy, Monster PhD trophy, HR100 trophy and 100 multiplayer quest trophy if i get people to join a quest. This arena is a pain because even if you go to a 15 person lobby and beg in the chat nobody will join up for arena, so it's a soul sucking grind vs kulu or those vespoids. I'm sure as sh*t not facing the raths or any other hard monster with thrash weapons armor and gimped item loadout. My current trophies. PhantomShade
Turf Wars are one of the best additions to these series, I am literally like this when 3 monsters fortuitously gather in the same area and start killing each other, especially the B52 Stratofortress
PhantomShade
Finally did this. around 45 Kulu-ka-Chu's died by my hand for this. basically one Kulu every 3 mins. Most bullshit achievement in base game, no wonder only 3.1% players on Steam have it, all must be those Achievement Hunter types lol. The 0.1% must be the people who like say want the Divine Slasher LS that needs arena coins God bless them for going against Azurelos with just a toothpick and 2 flashbombs. Ethan_Hunt
Poor Kulu, R.I.P! Well at least now you don't have to revisit the arena anymore. The funny thing is I thought that you needed to do 50 different arena quests for this achievement. Turns out you could just repeat the one over and over. Azure Rath one in the arena is hilariously bad with the loadouts they have provided. When I first did that, I wasted all my carts and ended up going back to a tempered investigation with the Rath and butchering it over and over. Anyhoo, went back to making a Lance set yesterday and ended up having so much fun with it. This is one of the safest weapons to play with, won't be the fastest unless you're a complete speedrunner, but can definitely be a good starter weapon. Kulu cursed me, my controller is in two pieces now because of one little blue plastic tab on a flimsy ribbon cable. Now i have to wait till the replacement parts arrive or learn how to play with KB/M. Lol I main GS and find even it boring now, even though it's simple, does big numbers and overall juzt werks., can't imagine the lance playstyle of guard and poke 3x and a charge here and there.

I don't like slow weapons; my main main is Dual Blades. Spread 3 & Sticky 3 HBG is always my next go-to build for high DPS. Going to try out Sword & Shield next. Was having an online session last night and boy talk about funny online character names. Check out the 2nd name.
PhantomShade
So completed my first KT seige, and got like 10 free weapons, first 2-3 attempts before this was failure, but in this seige tho cheer-haran hua of KT. Horns, gold plating everything removed. Her armor set though has such high item requirements. Very enjoyable fight, altough I feel like a noob with the high dps long sword ninjas and the one dude with CB doing SEADs without fail everytime.
Ethan_Hunt
It definitely is a very fun siege. The only problem is you need a proper room which has active players doing the siege. At this point, it's a gamble to find randoms who are consistent with the siege when you have a MR version of Kulve. I still farmed her a few months back constantly as I had to get the Kjarr Water Dual Blades. The RNG was so bad, I ended up just farming the MR version and going the melder route (Iceborne version) to get them. However, playing the siege for the first time is always fun. You just need to know her routes and keep dropping boulders and unload the cannons in the initial stage. Key is to keep breaking parts so make sure you have part breaker skill maxed out; it helps a lot. Leave the horn breaks to the gunners. Oh and you most certainly need good fire resistance. ? Assuming you have the fire res skill at level 3, do you still get 1 shot when she does the aoe fire breath thing? it's like she gets up on her hind legs and spews fire directly below her, so everyone infront dies. I've seen Fatalis videos where he does a similar attack, it's basically spewing fire on the ground. these KT weapons have such good stats, nice affinity out of the box, high elemental damage, good phys damage. I also got the 10 large gold crown achievement Those multi monster event quests with 12% crown drop rate are a god-send, i've seen forum posts of guys from 2018 or so struggling to get crowns even of these chomu monsters because the pre-event route was taking tempered or standard investigations with a very specific reward pattern. Only problematic trophy is the 100 mp quests one, i have no count of how many mp quests i've done till now, and curiously there are a lot of SoS flares of people doing assignments. One shot would be when you're armour is not upgraded to the max level boosting your overall defense. So priority one should be to upgrade your armours to the max. That combined with having a good elemental resistance (assuming the monster your fighting inflicts elemental damage) should prevent most (if not all) one-shot kills. The lava pool attack will definitely eat away at your health rather quickly of you're a.) standing in there for there for prolonged duration & b.) weak fire resistance. That is definitely something you'd want to avoid especially in the final phase where those attacks are more frequent as she's in rage mode. Fatalis has way too many fire attacks, far more than Kulve. The one you're talking about is probably the one where he get on his hind legs and tilts his head for a continuous fire breath attack. The only thing that can block it directly is a Lance shield with probably max Guard skill, else it's just GTFO ASAP. 16 minutes ago, PhantomShade said: Those multi monster event quests with 12% crown drop rate are a god-send, i've seen forum posts of guys from 2018 or so struggling to get crowns even of these chomu monsters because the pre-event route was taking tempered or standard investigations with a very specific reward pattern. Yeah those event quests have much higher crown chance than those tempered investigations. Iceborne's end game area is also good for farming crowns especially some of the ultra rare ones. 18 minutes ago, PhantomShade said: Only problematic trophy is the 100 mp quests one, i have no count of how many mp quests i've done till now, and curiously there are a lot of SoS flares of people doing assignments. There is also one achievement for the Guild card exchange one right? How many was it again? 50? That's another pain if you play solo most of the time. I looked at my base world stats and I had most of the trophies barring one Gold Crown one and few of those catch this exotic fish/animal or something like there. My armor is max upgraded, fully augmented, each piece is 84, fire res is sh*t though. Yes, the fire puke always gets me because i'm doing the Charged hit animation of the GS, and unlike LS fade slash move you cannot quickly cancel it any time, so the puke gets me. I decided that in phase 4 i'll stay behind her at all times, till the other dudes knock her down to hit her head safely. I got the guild card one fairly easily, you go to semi full lobbies and spam the entire room with your guild card, many people have the automatic gc send/receive setting enabled, so you should get the guild card instantly. If you're fast enough the guys in mp quests also may send you a guild card back at the end of quest. This 50 guild card achievement has a 3.6% rarity on steam
PhantomShade
Finally got this achievement, had to grind for this since I don't play MP that often except KT seige, Been doing only SOS flares and joining other's quests since the last three days May have done some ~50-60 MP quests i guess Compared to what I was expecting it was pretty good though, randoms play well and are also equipped nicely, they bomb sleeping ED's, know to use the sonic bomb thing when Diablos digs, and flash any flying wyverns or Kushal/Teo
PhantomShade
I also came across one of those rare hunting horn mains. It was not as the memes show, my palico gives more buffs on his drum and horn than this HH player, he was bonking the monster more, buffing less
Ethan_Hunt
RNG Gods finally came through and after 1.4k hours, I got not one but 2 Attack+ 4 decos (extremely rare Rarity 12 deco) in the same Fatalis fight. Talk about luck. Not that I needed them at this point but still good to finally have them. ?

How many skill bars does one deco fill? here in HR they seem to fill only a single bar, doesn't matter even if they are 2 or 3 size. there is one 4 slot earplugs gem in my box( placed by capcom ) that fills 2 bars of ear plugs skill, and it's iceborne only since HR doesn't have any armor with a size 4 deco slot. btw in general do the MR armors have more deco slots than HR ones? In MR, there are variable decos. So it can be one single skill deco which fills 2 bars for that one skill OR a combo deco which is a combination of 2 skills filling one skill for each slot. HR caps out at size 3 slot and MR caps at size 4 slot. Iceborne amours will range from all type of slot combinations which can got from 1 to 4. So you can mix and match a lot. Plus you also have the ability to compensate for the extremely rare decorations by upgrading your charms, which can cover up to 5 blocks of certain skills. MR armours have a ton of slots compared to the HR ones. You'll find that immediately notice the bump in defense rating too as soon as you craft even the most basic Jagras armour from MR. It's like Capcom wanted everything in HR to be immediately be nullified as soon as your transition to MR. But there is no armour in the game that even remotely comes close to the absurdity of Fatalis armour. I swear, the first time I saw it's stats when they first released the monster, I couldn't believe my eyes (neither could anyone else). Suffice to say, that's what you need to achieve at your end game and that is all you'll need throughout most of your hunts, pretty much rendering every other armour obsolete save for some elemental True Crit armours. But yeah, if you don't care about spoilers, just check out the stats on it and his weapons.

PhantomShade
There is suddenly a drop in the amount of those KT sessions and players in said sessions Played for 1 hour with the same 4 guy and across 3-4 tries could not succeed. stupid fat lizard and her huge body rolls and fire puke gets someone everytime. Our Iceborne alatreon LBG carry also left without saying anything for the last seige i played.
