acoustique Posted September 9, 2008 Report Share Posted September 9, 2008 not really , I for one don't just look for content but mostly for lag free online gaming , If PSN India is Officially launched and the servers are up , I'd definitely create myslef an Ac and enjoy ABSOLUTELY NO BULLET LAG with any of our pathetic ISP's with ease and get the lowest ping compared to my US Ac. But forget the content. I have been playing call of duty 4 online for the last 2 months now. i do not experience any lag. i am on a normal airtel 512 connection. i've tried gran turismo 5 online as well and that works pretty well too. Ya, I have played Resistance and MGO quite a lot online and I don't notice any lag. Sometimes lag was very visible on BF:BC demo but most of the time it was lag free too. The only game which had terrible lag in my playtime was the GRID Demo, it was so terrible that any chance of racing online was impossible ! I have an Airtel 1mbps connection BTW. It shared between 3 computers and one ps3 at my home, which I share with three roommates. But , yes, it will be nice to have our own store to buy content without paying for currency conversion charges, but I think the content will be overpriced anyway ! and I want the ability to send friend requests from my indian account ! As for Ping times i average at about 200++ ms for US Servers , SG Servers are 100++ ms. I dont really care if PSN comes to india or not, since i get my regular fix from HK anyways. I have US / HK / India PSN accounts, so i download it from HK and play it on the US account. Problem solved.
