Yea its true; someone in my apartment noticed this issue and checked with airtel service and he got the same reply!

This is a ***hidden clause***

128 kbps = 10 GB download limit per month

256 kbps = 15 GB download limit per month

384 kbps = 20 GB download limit per month

512 kbps = 25 GB download limit per month

1 Mbps = 150 GB download limit per month

Airtel expects you to be fair to them not the other way round :naughty:

I don't think india needs a playstation store. As it is,i buy my stuff from the US psn store. So what if indian CC's dont work? Just buy a playstation network card of whatever value you want.Do some serach around the web and you could find a site where you could import playstation network cards.

What's the point of PSN if there won't be any unlimited internet. First sign this:

http://afup.broadbandforum.in/

If that's true, that sucks donkey balls.I myself have a airtel bb connection (1 mbps) and wasn't aware of this development. The Fair Usage Policy (FUP) isn't exactly fair because if it's a proclaimed unlimited plan, then why 'cap' your downloads? Seriously, airtel connections suck.First of all,i pay monthly Rs. 2500 including tax for my 1 mbps connection, which is too expensive.Secondly, they don't offer you a 1:1 dl speed,it is always "up to 1 mbps".A quick check at speedtest.net reveals i get dl speeds of around 700 kbps even though it's a proclaimed 1 mbps connection. And now this FUP crap where they cap your downloads. This needs to be removed by airtel because their conections already suck and policies like these just make their conections look worse.

It is no doubt that internet connectivity in india sucks. Not just airtel but all isp's.The fastest connection i have seen offered in an unlimited plan has a dl speed of 2 mbps. That's about it.I have mates abroad who run 20-25 mbps connections.Hell,Japan has already moved to 'GB' connections.India is still stuck in kbps connections. Most people in india have 256 kbps connections.

It's confirmed to be true. It's just not being applied everywhere (yet), but we apprehend it will probably happen everywhere in the country at some point. Tata and Reliance have followed suite with worse plans. Sign the Petition.

As if we din't know that :roflroll:

The main reason for an Indian PSN store is DLCs. DLCs from the US store are not compatible with the games that are sold in our region.

DLC = Downloadable Content

went to sony showroom ................ when i asked them about the playstation store coming to india he said " Sir as far as we know it should be there by October or Diwalli "

thats a generic reply

Everything big and good will come only during Diwali time so that Sony/Microsoft gets more dhaan from Lakshmi mata :D

btw bips : You got your limits wrong, 512kbps gets 100GB limit..why the fuss and there are no limits for 256kbps. [ Airtel ]

Check your facts again before posting and how is this even important ? lol

Care to answer my question ?

as mentioned before psn store for india wont be a standalone store and will be for various other countries....

so apart from CC payment.......there will maybe be psn prepaid cards which you can use to buy games.......

half the utility of psn store is to buy games ..........

and reasonable is a relative word...

for some even 50lakhs is reasonable while for some even rs. 50 isn't :)

How would one know whether it is or not when no one is sure what the pricing will be like and we really have no dates or timeframe given when the store will be launched.

I think Abhinit has given a proper answer

you know what???

I have a strong feeling that Sony doesn't even care a damn about the indian market. They only want to sell their products but don't care what happens to the indian customers, atleast in the gaming section.

I mean, look at it, there is no contact details on the website, its not fully developed yet. except for a small add about an ol game HANUMAN and that too for ps2. Sony just hasn't realized the potential the indian market has.

Its so very sad. Microsoft on the contrary has realized it and has developed a fully developed site for India. the site is brimming with help, threads, forums and whats best.. SUPPORT. and thats why.. most Indians prefer xbox

Alas! I hope sony reads this.
