FOMO avoided…thank god ?

Summary is:

  • Real time cutscene
  • Faster loading

That's it. Even they were surprised nothing else was improved. LoD distance same, shadow same, pop-ins still there, effects water, all same lol. Very select texture like sword is improved and even that is rare.

Even they think SONY is over charging for such upgrade.

I expected ray tracing, 120fps etc since it's a paid upgrade.

That is saved for Ghost of Tsushima Remake at another higher upgrade cost. #forplayersonly ?

now this is some quality summary analysis. It gives fellow gamers confidence about their purchase since this case is very ambiguous in terms of value proposition and it's not a small sum of money

this kind of analysis is informative and adds value to the gaming community on this forum

others who have spent some time to understand the update may post any other points that may have been missed - they shall receive my thanks in return (not console wars or trolling)

“Ultimately, what we have here is a reasonable array of revisions, but it does feel that Sony is charging for the kind of upgrades that other developers and publishers are giving away for free and in actual fact, the biggest upgrade of all - 60fps - wasalready given away with the original release.”

”Beyond the resolution, cutscene and loading boosts, there's not much else to differentiate the native PlayStation 5 version from its back-compat plus counterpart: draw distances are the same as PS4 Pro, effects quality is a match and geometry is unchanged. Art improvements? We caught sight of sparing texture upgrades, but little of actual significance.”

”Taking a step back and looking at Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut from another perspective, I am happy to see that the whole package can be bought for PlayStation on disc. ”

Bro 11-12 hours more of this sh*t? Count me the f**k in. Imo the pinaccle of (non Nintendo) AAA open world games.

But 2.5k way too much for this.

PS5 upgrade is an easy pass. Luckily DLC and upgrade aren't tied to each other.

Skillup said the DualSense support is excellent, haptic, triggers and controller speakers are well utilized.

3D Audio is mediocre, it's present but not as good as Returnal.

Dat fomo though.

Can I just upgrade to the director's ps4 version on the web psn and play it on ps5?

Yes do this, since the "graphics upgrade" seems to be very minor things that you get with the 5K ps5 version, only new thing is the DLC worth paying for.

I'd wait for sale though.

It just depends how much khujli you have for the DLC content tbh.

And I pre-ordered it. Never played it last year so kinda excited for this.

But yeah, it shouldn't have been ₹5k.

Edit: Wifey started the download now (since I'm at work). It's ~58GB in total. ~42GB to start playing.
