Anyway from the review it seems like its almost completely abandoned any pretences of being survival horror and is a flat out GoW shooter now. BTW that seems to be prevalent in the entire second half of the game. I dont even have to mention the boat monster to draw GoW comparisions. Welcome to next gen baby. Same thoughts ...NO matter what this game will be Superb.Played the demo , the gameplay is intense pluswe got Co-op so this game must be played. The boat monster showed up in RE4 much before it did in Gears of War 2. Del Lago! Madre Dios! And what do they mean by 'cover'? You can't stick to cover, can you?! Point is the monster in RE4 was more like large fish. This one is almost exactly the same as the one in GoW 2. And yes I think you can take cover AFAIK. That kinda narrows it down. I'd be more concerned about them throwing in another lake sequence like the one in RE4 than aping a Gears 2 monster design. The gamepro review says we've already seen the best parts of the game in the publicity screenies/videos and that the later levels are a bit of a let down. That just dropped my excitement a tiny bit. It wont be a bad game, I think that's a given, but its looking more and more like it wont be as good as RE 4 either. Lets face it, RE is not exactly a series that's delivered consistently. And the hero could be a grizzled toughened veteran, only instead of a Cop it would be a Space marine. With a wisecracking black sidekick. Cmon Capcom go for it. You know it would sell.
