Kazekage Gaara Posted August 28, 2008 Report Share Posted August 28, 2008 Hi guys, I've finally decided to go ahead and buy a Rapidshare Premium account (was going to postpone it till I get my BSNL Dataone broadband connection up and running). Well, as of right now, I have a BSNL EVDO connection, and torrents don't work on it, but rapidshare download speeds are really good (approx 70+ kbps ). So, I've decided to buy a rapidshare account, but my problem is when you have a BSNL EVDO (wireless USB) net connection, you get a SHARED IP, aka the same IP is given to a particular city (aka to all the users in a particular city), and it has happened to me many times that when I go to download a file from rapidshare, it says "Your IP is already downloading a file, please wait until it finishes before downloading another file". Well, its not me who's downloading it, its some other guy who also has a BSNL EVDO connection and happens to have the same IP thats given to me . So, now, in this situation, if I go ahead and buy a RS Premium account, will I face any problems since the IP is shared ? I guess there should'nt be any problems coz even tho other guys might have the same IP as me, they won't have my username and password to use my premium account Any insight in this would be highly appreciated, especially from people who already own RS Premium accounts Thanx a lot in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Great...thanx a lot for your input Edit: Where do you guys buy your premium accounts from ? I presume the rapidshare website itself ? In fact, it's become really good as there is no waiting time of 2 to 4 hours as it used to be, but my problem is when it's counting down to 0 (usually 50 to 80 seconds depending upon file size), if another guy gets the download link first, his download starts and mine will show that stupid message again even after counting down to 0 coz the file download has already started for the same IP LA pls read the first post.... he says his entire town uses one IP Yeah....I know it's bullshit and I can't even portforward on this shitty thing, so there are absolutely no speeds on torrents Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You can PM me if its against rules to post here Would really appreciate it All the proxies that I've come across so far don't work properly with rapidshare (or vice versa) and some that do work and actually start the download, slow down to an unbearable speed or give me broken downloads Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Should I go ahead with using Paypal and directly paying to rapidshare ? or am I better off buying it from one of them resellers ? Price on Rapidshare website equals 7 Euros = Rs. 445 (approx). Will ICICI or Paypal charge me something for buying rapidshare premium account ? Reseller's website quotes the prices at Rs. 600 (incl. 12.3% service tax). bossplaya Posted September 6, 2008 Report Share Posted September 6, 2008 Yeah man....I tried linking my ICICI debit card, but it says that the bank denied it use paypal, its the best, if u can transfer money through netbanking, but it takes a long time, its best to use a credit card, and the premium ac is seriously worth it, speeds are way higer then torrents..
