Don't misunderstand me - i like the idea of Kratos sporting a beard but not the full beard kind. Something short, sharp and a tad bit raggedy perhaps? Everytime i see the latest Kratos my imagination conjures up a washed out fighter holed up in a small, dingy apartment littered with empty Budweiser cans when i should be visualizing a fierce warrior. I know GoW4 is set almost a decade after the events of GoW3 but shouldn't Kratos still look like he is still close to his prime and not well past it? That full beard just doesn't connect with me. Here are some sketches and face study of an older Kratos i managed to dig up on the internet: The guys who drew these may not be expert artists but they're just as passionate as the artists working on GoW4 at SSM. Having said that, i'm pretty sure that they have a strong idea of how Kratos would look (including aging) if he starred in the next GoW4 set years after the events of GoW3. sobbii Posted July 6, 2016 Report Share Posted July 6, 2016 Decade sounds a bit weird the world was a chaotic place at the end of 3.....no one survived It must have taken a long long time for new establishments to take place think of it like Hindu myth......Ram & Krishna were millennia apart I guess that's how Zues & Odin's time periods must be I believe they are going to make it look like mythologies co-existed all this time.. places which were under the greek gods were destroyed along with them.. but the world lives on.. sobbii Posted July 6, 2016 Report Share Posted July 6, 2016 That's why they are called "myths" in this world but in that they are reality two different realities can't co-exist in the same universe Either Primordials,titans,gods lineage controlled the world or the Asgards rule on all nine realms It can't be like the ruler of Asgards ruled all the Nine realms & didn't bother to see that Zues was in control of the nearest continent We dont know if odin is already ruling all the 9 realms.. he is starting on about it and theres a conflict.. who knows what they will present it to be like..
