Was very very sceptical when the main weapon was said to be an axe last year and the fight were just one on one. NOt only did they start to show the full range of the combat but it looks like the combat is designed for both one on one and large scale encounters. It also looks extremely punchy and satisfying. Withdrawal symptoms, blade of chaos have corrupted you Its actually good to have something different, though I really hope he gets his blade of chaos back, guess he might find them in the chamber where he sees himself painted on an urn. Yes, the combat shown in the latest trailer is more focused on CQB. But i didn't find the subdued combat style surprising considering it suits Kratos who's doing his best to be a responsible parent by exercising restraint. The uninteresting axe is a strong indicator that everything we've seen so far is a short prelude to the main story. Kratos isn't himself unless he's consumed with rage. I have a sneaky suspicion that following the prelude, just before the story reaches the halfway mark, Kratos will get reacquainted with his trusty Blades of Chaos thus unleashing all of his full fury. From there on till the conclusion, camera movement during combat will become somewhat restricted but not to the extent in previous GoW titles. KnackChap Posted June 13, 2017 Report Share Posted June 13, 2017 Yeah i think the blades are too iconic to not have its moment in the game. Also th estory seems really intriguing. We still havent seen a god and as per the dialogues kratos isnt on a warpath with them (So far). Its about a journey kratos and his kid takes to find someone/ something.
