No point in adding. It is well known that all Halo games are sub HD. That was not a surprise for me. But sub HD can look much better. This was utter crap.

^Resistance 1 also came at around same time, and it looked a lot better. At least better than PS2 title. I can tell you that Black which came on PS2 and Xbox has better graphics than Halo 3.

Amazing graphics dont necessarily make u a better game

Post the sales chart also man. The argument is incomplete without sales data. I guess then you guys must be happy with 360, why go for next gen if graphics dont matter? You already enjoyed a last gen game and made it a system seller. Forget about the graphics, just look at the start of the game. A ship crashes, Master Chief comes out alive, and stop shooting some telly tubbies like creatures jumping around with purple guns and a blue dude with his shields who might be their sugar dady. And we keep doing this all over shitty looking green washed out areas, without any sense or purpose, because of some war going on. Also, within first 5 minutes your team divides into two, one group climbs over a small hill, which your super soldier green armor clad Master Chief cant climb and follows other half to shoot more telly tubbies.

 

And pair all this with horrible graphics for a supposedly superior hardware compared to it's competitors, and I found it incredibly surprising and puzzling that this game sold consoles.

So let me put it straight, you played a game 5 years late, you didn't like the (then) universally acclaimed graphics, you can't understand why its so popular, you are dismissive of all the high scores it got and it's sales figure, you can't acces the meat of the game that is mp cause of a modded console.

This I agree. But then why the harping about Halo Universe being so awesome and Master Chief is like the greatest character of all time etc etc? It is a MP game, not a MMO, so Universe and characters are out of question, right? So why so much hue and cry when Reach omitted Master Chief?

I remember you got banned for this, earlier. Also, how will story make any sense if you play 3rd game in series directly? It's story is way too complicated, to be explained in a 2 minute cutscene. Read wiki for story of first two games, then try to make sense of Halo 3's story. Also, about graphics, we had this discussion earlier too. This game came out in 2007, had 4 player splitscreen coop, recorded every thing on your HDD from all 4 player's perspective, while maintaining 30+ fps. And you are comparing it to a single player game, which sold all because of its graphics and had a whole lot of technical issues with gameplay. Seriously dude, are you nuts? I mentioned it multiple times, try MP of the game, or play split-screen coop, and see the difference. Do you know, that if you have a splitscreen friend, you both can go online for ranked matches? I am sure, you understand all this means a few sacrifices in graphics department. Even then, game hold up pretty well compared to other games that came out at same year. But, if you want to bash a game, because "OMG, its not 720p, it sucks at grpahics", then carry on. I already have a warning status because of explaining the same thing to you, few months earlier.

halo 3 had more sales in 14 days than resistance in its existance... Reuters UK estimated that Halo 3 may have sold up to 5.2 million copies worldwide in the first two weeks after launch.

 

And talking abt the scenario is something u dont wanna do bro... halo 3 has jungles, takes u in a desert, in a living organism, a military base and all this sh*t. And yeah u shud knw that game developpers restrict the areas playable so yeah even if u can make 10thousands feet jumps at some place and survive.. a 1 foot jump can kill u somewhere so yeah it is made to make u play on a certain pattern. No sense no purpose.. play the game entirely on legendary with some skulls on (if u have the balls for it obviously) and come back and treat the ennemies of telletubbies. Hate on halo graphics as much as u can.. coz thats the only flaw u have to harvest.

 

Read about the halo universe.. u will understand every single event that occured. Its richer than u think

Check this out. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page If you play third game in a series, will It make any sense? No. Then why you act like this. Play the full campaign, and read up about earlier two on wiki, then it will make sense, why people praise Halo's universe. Also, why in the hell would you get a brand new console modded? Don't tell me, it is because of live subscription (which IIRC is free for first 3 months). Still, try out MP, or coop the campaign with someone. Hopefully, your console will not get banned and you might actually try why we talk about MP so much.
