SchizoidFreud Posted September 3, 2008 Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 Hmm..we all know Gears 3 isnt Xbox exclusive. And Gears 3 would be big enough to either fit into 2 dvds or a Blu ray Disc. They need to make one change in PS3 that is Trigger buttons of PS3 remote and feel of the DS3. 1. If Gears 3 comes out in the next generation, it will probably wont be on a DVD. 2. M$ and Epic signed a deal for the game and its sequel because it was a new IP and no one knew how well it would do. I dont see why the partnership cannot be extended to future sequels considering what a blockbuster the first one was and how well the second one is undoubtedly gonna do. It can go on other platforms only if Microsoft wants. Microsoft wanted to sell Vista with the whole DX10 crap, hence GoW1 got ported to PC for Windows Vista. Sony can't do crap about it because then Epic would be breaching its contract. The bottom line remains, even if Gears of War 3 needs 5 or 10 discs, its gonna be Xbox360 or PC exclusive. From what i can see, i don't even think GoW3 will come on Xbox360. It might get ported to the next Xbox. You also need to keep in mind that Gears of War 1 was in production two years before the release of Xbox360 and the only reason why 360 has more ram is because of Epic since they were finding it difficult to develop the game with low ram as a result Microsoft had to spend almost a billion $$ extra on Xbox 360. Corporate world is money oriented...unpredictable....just wait and watch. PS. u got that info frm ur source i got this frm mine..bt abt MS contract with Epic, m sure it was only till Gears 2, now if its renewed, fine, otherwise, Epic can go its way for launching this game on both the or either of the console. The new blu ray 360's will take care of any data storage issues that may or will arise with the 360. harrydeo Posted September 9, 2008 Report Share Posted September 9, 2008 If im not wrong, in an interview it was revealed the UE IV won't come out before 2010, so we cant think of GeoW III before 2010 iBelieve.One can more surely think about the PS2 with that, but not the XboX1, it was abandoned like a street stray dog within 6 months and the only games that came on it were EA games. thats not been the case with the ps2, Mercs 2, TNA iMPACT, SvR 09 and many EA games along with exclusives like Persona are still left to be out (in india) That is Just Microsoft. As soon as XBOX 720 comes XBOX 360 will be picking up dust. It doenst happen only with XBOX1, but also with Windows XP, Exchange Server and lot other MS technologies. They are really aggressive in supporting in new products and killing the old one before it should. PS2 is still happy and alive, was showcased in E3 but XBOX was brain dead.
