I definitely enjoyed the conference, and except the intermission, enjoyed enough that did not even notice the time passing by!! No. It's been nearly two years since the games were announced barring some. They look good and stuff but that's the gameplay reveal werent anything amazing. All games look great and promising, but it didnt get any hype going. You mix in interesting new unseen ips in such a showcase to keep things balanced. It was so heavily focused on already revealed games that there wasn't any new budding excitement. I also didn't notice the time fly by but it was because it was really short. Count in the stupid af hall switching and INTERMISSION with ads making it really short af. Also both the youtube stream and Twitch stream were broken technical mess with stutter, audio glitches and frame rate drops. A single company has not dominated the console market like Sony has been doing last few years ever. Ninty Sega was real close in 90s. That's how Sony came back when they were behind during the PS era. Just back to back focus on games, never dropping the guard. MS dropped it hard during the end of 360 cycle. Nintendo killed Sega sales wise during the NES and SNES era. As good and successful as Genesis (mega drive ) was, the snes was selling a lot lot more compared to the sega's console. Such was their arrogance that Nintendo used to reject 3rd party games if they were similar to their internal titles. Gameboy single handedly killed multiple Sega handhelds like nomad & game gear. The only thing that kept Sega going was that they were the unrivaled kings in making games for the super computers of that era aka the arcade machines. Yet when some other company does something similat with bloodstained or when they actually put their internal ip (fable, which failed to raise funds btw) or make an already funded Kickstarter game into an exclusive (the new skateboarding game) everything's fine. It is crazy how far away some of these games sound right about now as they didn't choose to show up here. Sony wasn't able to rope in DMC5 for presentation too, which is almost suspicious. But visuals wise, TLOU & Ghost seemed UNBELIEVABLE I know Sony's first party titles aren't known for significant downgrades... but I'll be damned if these are finals!!
