It’s Basically Destiny

None of the features mentioned are Destiny like.

Its open world but not looter shooter with RPG elements.

They trying to make it more like Zelda BoTW which seems to be affecting lot of open world games now.

Halo infinite design changed mid development after release of Botw.

It looks like it has dynamic weather and lighting in which case it'll have moments where it'll not look that great and will get unnecessarily ragged on just like Dirt 5.

None of the Halo games are amazing looking visually. Infinite will look good but it will not be visual showcase.

Those type of games you should expect from Ninja theory, Coliation, Idtech, Machine games, Playground and here's hoping Initiative. These studios got talent to produce graphically impressive games.

Infinte will be polished 4k locked 60 experience. If game is good then no one will care about graphics

Eh, Halo 2 and 4 are benchmark titles for their hardware in terms of visuals. Just because 343 is hamstrung by base Xbone version doesn't mean Halo games never looked amazing.

A former 343i employee (Skybox Artist) shared some insight on Halo Infinite

  • His overall feeling on Halo Infinite: "In fact, I think the finished product will still be great. The story is a big improvement, and the gameplay is much richer, though the development cycle is too long. Don't expect it to be an epoch-making masterpiece."
  • The company executives were overly ambitious. They wanted to make Halo Infinite a semi-open world game, so the engine needed to be changed significantly. They had to make the game and develop the engine at the same time (Due to engine defects, many workflows were not ideal, though they are now much more improved than before).
  • Last year's disastrous demo was because many engine features were not fully implemented at that time.
  • For a variety of reasons, the game content compared to the original idea has been cut (same for multiplayer). "This has led to some things I've made over the years that no one will probably ever see."
  • The team at 343 (especially the low-level employees) works very hard, and many of them have experienced working overtime until the early hours of the morning in the past few years. (Crunch confirmed :(
  • Now he works at Certain Affinity, still doing some HI outsourcing work, and he feels good to be out of 343's baggage.

I sometimes totally fail to fathom the fact

that how the f**k M$ till the very outing of that demo was not willing to tell anybody that the game is no where near completion

They just didn’t want anybody to know it’s not coming until the Bethesda news would cover this up

Anyway I hope Bethesda keeps it’s independent charm along with all their IP’s

which has already been hinted

M$ just doesn’t know how to handle creativity

Even after the demo Phil was saying he didn't see anything wrong with it lol.

Almost half way into the year and we still haven't seen any footage is worrying

Don't see it coming this year. But E3 blowout followed by release 6 months later is no big deal, Bethesda does the same with many of their games too.

Yeah but Bethesda is fully competent in releasing half-assed games and making it look like they just did a favor on all humanity.

As a publisher though, they jave released doom/wolfy/prey within a shot span of time after e3 blowout, can happen. Even a decent halo infinite will be a big boost to XSX, MS has done really well to sell so many millions without any exclusives, n third party games have been great on gamepass, but still, halo is halo, even if it isn't as big now.
