radicaldude Posted January 1, 2022 Report Share Posted January 1, 2022 People might compare what I have said to/with doom eternal. However Doom has always been like that. That's the essense of doom. Focusses on making you feel like a badass. But Halo was high on lore. And They have screwed up the lore aspect big time. The game feels kinda "inspired" by several other shooter franchises. But finally Banished aaye toh ig light chali gayi hogi. The Created Conflict had so much potential with the overbearing human dependence on AI and high-tech equipment in the aftermath of a superior, almost ruling class humanity in the wake of the Human-Covenant war. I actually enjoyed dialogues with Escharum and character development of Weapon and pilot. I am never overly critical of video game stories. If I will be, none of them hold up. Halo is actually in a difficult situation. It has told a story in original trilogy. Now it will have to introduce new stuff to keep it interesting. The gunplay and movement absolutely slaps in SP and MP. However, the campaign is absolute balls and the story is doodoo garbage and it seems like they really don't know what they want to do. I have very similar thoughts and agree with most of what you said. I didn't care for the story but it served it's purpose. The story being bland and all was still miles better than the sh*t we were served with H5. I only hope they build up on it with DLCs and add variety to the biomes through it.
