VelivolusDas
Greenberg: "It is a work in progress. What you're seeing today—and I can tell you, because we see build check-ins every week, and they make progress week after week—so between now and holiday, it's just going to get better and better." Source: https://www.pcgamer.com/amp/yesterdays-halo-infinite-gameplay-reveal-was-a-work-in-progress-microsoft-says/?__twitter_impression=true ----- He still thinks this can be revamped between now and holiday 2020. Also, read some rumours that the demo shown was from a January build of the game. Not sure about that, though...
radicaldude
Apparently, they are done making standalone halo games. They would add episodes from here on. That explains the open world map too I guess, with new rings and planets to explore going forward added as updates. lol Edited July 25, 2020 by radicaldude

Successive episodes to one game would increase the file size. Hoping the base game and previous additions are not required to play each episode. They should rename it as Halo : "destined" to be infinite!

That is assuming all goes to plan, BFV also was doing live service, everything "free", maximum lootbox and mtx, now look at it, support pulled even before 2 years completed. I think the gameplay we saw wasn't gimped for the xbone, it was gimped because the target was absolute bottom barrel shitty PCs that the every man has, so that PC ppl buy GP and play on their garbage work laptops i guess. So they are ready to sacrifice next gen 12 teraflops gfx for cross gen and BC? They can simply defer the xsx launch, and launch a more inclusive xpass instead, this year. Their strategy now is to sell more GP subs, i think mid way they decided that they have been so utterly btfo on the "system selling quality exclusives" front that they can never comeback, so they want to "FocUs oN OuR StReNGThs", that is, GP. You must realize MS is now a service based company, the hardware whether surface or xbox is to just get you into the EcOsYstEm, they want your money per month and yearly not all at once, which is why MS office also now has subscription model, MS Azure again is sub only, now they have Gamepass for xbawks, Windows 10 is the final windows version( remember the free upgrades from Win7 and Win8? ) with rolling release updates. This is the model these Western companies have been moving to all these decades, all paisa is in "Services" , so outsource hardware to Asian(read as Chinese ) companies, and focus on selling services and "ecosystem" Apple is already doing this.
PhantomShade
Xbox says Nintendo and Sony no longer main rivals Now this article may sound like Phil Spencer is talking out of his a*s, but it makes sense, they are moving to le futuristic, le big buxx, le money printing, subscription games and streaming "model", where all "AAA" games are day one GP, and all AAA games have garbage graphics so that they work on average joe's Dell laptop, and have mtx, lootbox, in-game currency, rolling release "free" content updates. Meanwhile according to MS, Sony is StUcK In ThE PaSt with high quality $60 AAA games with no mtx etc involved and babaji ka ghanta on the streaming/sub service side, and so is Nintendo

Damn. This makes sense. So gaming industry is now dependent on a handful of major companies for innovation (and for taking the industry forward) ie Sony, Nintendo, intel and nvidia. I wont be surprised if MS kills the xbox franchise and starts a stadia-esque cloud gaming service.

That is the plan lol eventually, Xbox dabba will be retired, Xbox will be app on Win10 desktop, android and apple app store Xbox will be branding for their cloud streaming or download games for $5 a month service, that is all, maybe branding to for xbox controllers also

WhiteWolf
Bill has no power now lol. Phill is VP and right hand man of our Indian guy Satya Nadella . He gets full support from CEO. Satya supporting Xbox now only coz of Game pass. Satya was ready to kill Xbox but Game pass saved it Edited July 25, 2020 by WhiteWolf

He is just following the trend lol like his superiors tell him to. Hardware is slim margins bijness, and a*s quality MMO or MTX laden browser games and time pass mobile app games make much more money in places like China or in apple app store that big bang $60 title. The biggest buxx, the "common wisdom" goes, is in services, lootbox, mtx, skins for characters and weapons, subscribtion, cloud streaming what have you.
