When u see it, let me know... There is a reason no other action game is native 4k 60fps in an open world setting..

Spider-Man Miles Morales. Even if the game looks exactly like PS4 Spider-Man, running on 60 will be quite an achievement and it will look way better than what we saw of Halo today. Spider-Man PS4 version is much more crowded, densely populated and has a lot going on than what is in Halo 5, and it still looks way better. Imagine the meltdown when game looking like that runs at 4k compared to turd we saw today

I have a feeling this is going to have an MCC-style glitchfest launch. Gameplay looks solid but the rest feels quite unfinished. I'd rather they take an extra year than end up like MCC.

ya they should delay it imo

I WAS INVITED TO A HALO INFINITE MEDIA BRIEFING WITH 343, HERE’S WHAT I LEARNED… (CAMPAIGN INSIGHT, NEW COMPOSER, AND MORE!)

Quote

Chris Lee: “It’s the most open, expansive environment we’ve ever created in  a Halo game. It’s several times larger than our last two campaigns put together.

It gives players a lot of choice and freedom as the play through the world, running into these objectives, setting points on your map to navigate – exploring as you go.”

Quote

Chris Lee: “We also upgraded our audio engine to create a new acoustic system and leverage a lot of the extra processing and streaming power with the Xbox Series X – to be able to really surround the player in a much more realistic audio experience.”

PS - Sorry for the caps. That's how the original title is. The guy is probably really excited. :P

Big yikes...

Just saw the gameplay in its full glory. It actually looks good (for cross-gen). Not next-gen good but still, really nice. Having said that, some animations looked low fps and some textures look bad.

I really hope they bump up the animations and textures (at least) before launch.

Halo games never truly showcased power of Xbox hardware. 360 Halo games all looked inferior to everything else available on system example Gears on 360. Halo looked good but people never went crazy over graphics.  Halo infinite seems to be following same trend. If gameplay good with variety then people will over look the graphics but if its not then its pretty much end of the road for 343.

Halo Infinite 2 Won't Be Happening, Says 343 Industries

Quote

“Halo Infinite is the start of our platform for the future,” he said. “We want Infinite to grow over time, versus going to those numbered titles and having all that segmentation that we had before. It’s really about creating Halo Infinite as the start of the next ten years for Halo and then building that as we go with our fans and community.”

This does not mean that Halo Infinite is a live service game, a la Destiny. But it does mean that new story experiences will be told underneath Infinite’s umbrella, and it also means Infinite will be evolved technologically for quite a while. 343 confirmed that Infinite will get a free raytracing update sometime after launch. Gameplay-wise, hopefully the move to Infinite as a platform won’t mean that players are trapped on this Halo ring forever, but we’ll have to wait and see what 343 has in store for us in the Xbox Series X generation to find out.
