I mean from trust jo one bad a*s in 1st game to this. Absolutely makes no sense. These are not the characters we have grown up with. And then finally ellie kills all perpetrator in cruel and horrible ways, stabs a pregnant woman and when it comes to killing the perpetrator she let's her go. That too after sacrificing everything she had to get there. Where to even begin the writing is so so bad. Takes away from the tech staff and their achivement. Its misery porn to have Neil Cuckman have the fanbase eat piles of horsedung. I did not expect joel to show up n help abby. God ND you did that smartly. The acting in that scene is top notch. That was so ruthless, I am shaken. I have seen fatalities in MK, gory but you kinda enjoy it but here it feels so so so personal, feels like Joel is a real human. I don’t have a problem with Joel getting killed in the beginning but the way the story is constructed is so strange. When Joel is killed, all you want to do is get revenge on Abby who is painted as the villain but then the second half of the game is you playing as Abby and you some how don’t feel as angry with her. By the time she crossed paths with Ellie, you don’t know what to feel as you’ve seen and played both sides. Then Ellie decides to not pursue her for a bit, again goes after her just to let her go once more. It just seemed very disjointed. Joel dies you feel for him.. You want the revenge.. Coz in your story Joel has been a hero.. ( the hero of your story was a villain in someone else's) Thn you get to see events unfold from abbys perspective.. She isn't bad herself. And though it's never mentioned clearly but there are subtle hints that she is helping the siblings out of her guilt for killing joel..It was very random for ellie to let her go but I interpreted it as she suddenly gets this vision of Joel and realises even if she kills abby the memory of Joel will always haunt her and she also kinda sees abby isn't all that bad when the first thing she does after being freed is go for lev rather thn lashing out at Ellie.. Just wanted to say felt like sh*t playing as Abby at the beginning, I thought it was just a tease then its like a second full game.. Like she f**king killed Joel, I am not gonna play as her Lol, But once the forest mission started felt bettter, not sure how the Day 2 and Day 3 missions are, The aquarium visit with Owen as boring AF, The Jurassic Park one was so much better.. Now i like her way more than Elie.
