Yeah, fast travel is obvious choice. But a lot of ruckus is being created that you cannot explore space or planets. Absolute lies. They made some design choices to direct players towards fun parts cause space is huge and empty. Basically being criticised for having a good pacing in the game. Vamos
3 hours ago, TRMNTR said: Also IGN: "In Starfield, you can't go anywhere without fast-traveling." "...every time you see a planet and remember it’s just a picture of a planet you’ll never be able to reach by flying toward it." I think what they meant was, you can fly through empty space but you’d still have to go through a loading screen and a menu landing sequence to actually land on a planet. The planets don’t have collision or an atmosphere. That’s really disappointing for me. For instance, watch this video at the time stamp 26:35. You are technically still doing fast travel even after flying through empty space for hours.
b!T
I am not sure whether IGN is all over the place with this review but there isn't much you can do in space. It takes a lot of time to fly from one space station to another which orbits the same planet so that one never wants to do it. I was expecting much more in the space. however the surface level action picks up and it quite awesome. I am building an outpost and u loose a lot of time designing, placing it but as I mentioned earlier, it's quite fun. If I'm not wrong, their review also doesn't talk about the fact that you technically can travel in space. Hence the new article with the new discovery.

There is some amount of space exploration mixed with space combat but its very limited, anyone expecting it to be a space sim like NMS and Star Citizen is in for massive disappointment. Its straight Bethesda RPG with space as a backdrop. Quests and RPG elements are main focus of the game not space exploration. I just goto mission tab and click X to straight teleport to next location. PS - To be honest i never liked NMS or Star Citizen, exploring empty space is not something im interested in doing video games. However, here it is very limited but maybe because I am focusing more on main story so far.

I'll start tomorrow so will get to know what the fuss is all about. Personally, I don't think I'd care about (or want to) space travel in a game that's already too long. I still remember Witcher and RDR2; absolutely hated every part of the horse riding after a while. Obviously, until I could fast travel. Kazarka
Im not interested in any of the above stuff. Those are just there to waste time. I will just do quests, side and main both and start NG+ with lot of mods and make different choices.

Very few story/ dialogue related choices you can make.
