Is this your first Bethesda rpg? Voice acting in Starfield is mixed bag. Not all characters are bland. Some of the factions characters are good/decent and companions dialogues gets better as you start to know them better. But yeah, you not getting ND or Bioware level of voice acting in Bethesda games. In Witcher you basically just wait for new characters and story beat to come up. This game is enjoyable for entirely different reason. Recently started leveling up my character. Best part of the game. Really looking forward to completing those challenges. Jump in your abilities and effectiveness is immediately apparent.
