Reviews at 28% on Steam right now.

Maybe it will soon touch 25% so 1% for each year in the making?

How delusion you have to be to not understand that steam users basically trolled this game.

Steam reviews cant be taken seriously. Lot of trolling and you can easily give negative review and refund game. I have done it for one game few months back :P

Starfield reviews are hilarious nonetheless. People who put 600 to 800 hrs then said he didn't enjoy it. WTF how you put 800 hours in something you dont like? These reviews cant be taken seriously.

If i don't like something then i will not play more than 4 to 6 hours max. Ponies all of sudden loves Steam reviews coz of all negative reviews for Starfield as they look for anything they can use to attack Starfield.

Game is obviously not bad or anything like that.

It’s just that how M$ & Shills started to portray it to be a larger than life gaming event made it look like meme worthy.

It’s a solid WRPJ I’m sure.

Though the developer should have been upfront about it’s design rather than misleading ppl about it being some innovation in procedural space design.

This video is all you need to see the very sad result of over promising something.

This guy calls every popular game outdated

Same kind of video for RDR2, TLOU2 and now Starfield.

Maybe he should change his outdated style of making videos.

I'm presently doing the Ryujin Faction questline and last evening as I was playing through the "Background Checks" mission I felt that the stealth mechanics in the game are broken at times. Enemies would just magically see me when I was miles away. Even when I clearly sneaked and circumvented enemies and wasn't in their line of vision they suddenly noticed me (I tried both running and being crouched). :(

One "Broken" Starfield Mechanic May Just Be Highly Misunderstood

So, completed the game today and frankly I’m having mixed feelings.  It would perhaps have been my goty some 10 years back, but in this day and age it feels dated.

I felt the main quest was pretty weak, it started with some good ideas but the way it’s ends, I at least was not satisfied.  The gameplay mechanics are very dated as well and inventory management is a nightmare.

Overall, I spent some 60+ hours in the game.  I stopped playing the side quests and switched gears to complete the main quest in the hope they patch the game in the coming days(like what cdpr did with cp2077) when the game becomes more playable.  In the current form, I found myself wasting a lot of time walking back and forth and managing inventory which really took the fun out of most quests !!

To summarise, I felt it’s a lot opportunity and the game could’ve been better with better gameplay mechanics and a stronger main quest.   I think  mass effect (the original trilogy) is still perhaps the best space (soap opera styled) video game !!

Started the Crimson Fleet Faction questline last evening. I'm enjoying these Faction quests a whole lot, have spent nearly 24+ hours playing this game at this point and haven't even gone back to doing the main missions at all after having completed the initial 2-3 missions! This game can be very addictive and this now is my alternate universe after a day full of work. :D

Just a fun tidbit... I noticed that this character model has been re-used quite a bit in this game:

  • 3 weeks later...

Completed main mission "Entangled" last night and what a mind bending mission it turned out to be!

Spoiler

The entire jutting between two different timelines and starkly different multiverses all the while being hunted by bots and wild monsters really added to the tension. The ending decision also made me think for a while before taking a certain path.

Will now go back to doing some more side quests because I can tell I'm almost nearing the end of the main game.

Went to explore the moon Aranae IV-A. Took a mission from a random Freighter and boy oh boy what a mission it turned out to be! Choc full of intense firefights and came across lots of new characters.. This level, specially during the closed quarters combat brought back memories of a game I played long back... a game called FEAR!
