RT with 60 fps should be the option, even if it's 1080p, and it should be doable even at 1440p because the game isn't open world. After playing so many 60 fps games, going back to 30 fps is very jarring.

Game tanks frame rate hard even  on pc with RT no matter what card you using lol

I know the feeling.

On my 3070 I found that 1440p60 at max settings (including RT) in this game is only possible with DLSS.

I know it's been said many times before, but DLSS really is a gamechanger.

Also, having previously completed the game at around 30fps, the framerate jump to 60fps stood out to me more than the RT. I only tried it for a few minutes though.

Will definitely be replaying this soon. The combat feels so good at 60fps

Shouldn't be considered as con. Literally no loss in quality. If anything having DLSS is a pro and consoles should have similar technique in future.

I think there's a DLSS equivalent machine learning capability coming to XSX and XSS called DirectML

DirectML – Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S support Machine Learning for games with DirectML, a component of DirectX. DirectML leverages unprecedented hardware performance in a console, with Xbox Series X benefiting from over 24 TFLOPS of 16-bit float performance and over 97 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of 4-bit integer performance on Xbox Series X. Machine Learning can improve a wide range of areas, such as making NPCs much smarter, providing vastly more lifelike animation, and greatly improving visual quality.

With DirectML, Xbox Series consoles will kick butt left and right. Basically, 24TFs on XSX!!!

12 TFs se kaunse bade teer mar liye xbox ne?

Karte to gamepass gamepass hi rehte ho tumlog

Anyway hope whatever this is becomes a part of Diretx12 on PC.

DLSS won't be standard unless it becomes a "standard" like this, as long as it is nvidia exclusive it will not find huge reach.

If MS makes it part of Directx, then every game will have it like RT is now part of those directx12 games in the future

Why though? Literally every other PC is see is fitted with a Nvidia GPU. Am curious if AMD is even releasing new GPUs to compete with RTX 3 series :scratchchin:

And already has decent competitors to 30xx just that they don't perform as well with RT and will get DLSS equivalent later on.

Right now only handful of games support DLSS. If it becomes part of directx stack, then hopefully most games will start supporting it.

But do a lot of people buy amd gpu? I can mostly see nvidia being bought

Yeah, not seeing it as a negative. I was trying to imply how essential it is for games with RT.

Isn’t DLSS based sort of on the Checkerboard rendering that Sony has been mastering since PS3 day?!?

The idea is similar - Take a low res version and upscale it. The algorithm is different. DLSS uses neural engine (blackbox), while checkerboarding is done via manual manipulation of features (interpretable).

Dlss is a game changer for sure from what we have seen , the direct ml improvements are unknown for now till the feature comes .

as far as the 24TF performance is concerned , i think that definitely a stretch .

I remember Cerny also touting the 16 bit float performance that doubled the ps4 pro to 8.4 TF during the launch event and we all know how the ps4 pro performed in comparison to X.

Dont believe everything you read ,only believe in raw specs .

You have been following just too many shills on YouTube

don’t believe everything that they say

There’s a reason they have been planted & hype marketing gimmicks that M$ don’t want to do themselves anymore, coz of negative press after not meeting expectations

I simply googled machine learning on xbox series consoles and got to this glossary page by MS explaining terms for XSX like DirectML.

PS4 Pro could do incredible things with the right devs. A game like the Ghost of Tsushima was launched on that hardware in 2020. Implications of Raw specs may not be fully understood by us gamers without actual game performance data across a large number of games. We are limited by game performance data available today and info given by hardware companies as the nature of next gen architecture is different from last gen

RT in Control is quite substantial and engrained in everything from all of the lighting to shadows and high res reflection. PS5 is not gonna do 60fps even at 1080p.

Yeah, even DF hails this game's RT implementation as one of the best. I need to play more to get a good taste of it.

They will have separate RT settings for consoles.
