My PC evidently can no longer cope up with Ubisoft's game engine, so pretty much had to try the PS4 version on PS5. I think my threshold for handling 30fps games is slowly going down every minute I keep playing more 60fps games on consoles. As for the game itself, I feel like this franchise will most likely be abandoned. It has the most horrible characters and virtually a piss-poor story. The first Watch_Doge game was good, even post it's graphical controversy, it had a passable storyline and a character. Everything after that seems to have gone into this hipster bullsh*t trend right from the second game to this one. The gameplay loop is the same, which was dam boring to begin with (hack, activate traps, kaboom, repeat) they just added a few tweaks to it. The driving in this game is absolutely horrible. It pains me to just drive a sports car which barely picks up enough speed to pass an ongoing scooter for f*cks sake. The AI is another joke. I can melee attack a person standing 3 feet away from another enemy and the enemy doesn't even know I was there. Help your mate for crying out loud. Now I understand why it got discounted so quickly. Gameplay i think was far more enjoyable than first game but yeah its not that great in story and characters department. Playing as different agents with different abilities added extra little depth which made it more fun than previous games for me. And, you right about franchise is done after this game. But then the open world section hit, and holy sh*t the driving is so bad. Why can't this be like the Splinter Cell games where you jump from mission to mission, maybe do some side activities directly from your underground HQ? STICK3Rboy Posted March 27, 2021 Report Share Posted March 27, 2021 The city in this is pretty marvelous. Feels lived in and has many unique structures and landmarks. And the RT adds a layer of believability to the whole thing. It didn't quite give off a good first impression though as the game has a lot of muddy textures which seem to become more apparent in sunny weather. But it looks great when its cloudy or raining (it looks even better at night). Haven't played many missions at this point (was mostly just roaming around and taking in the sights) but it seems to be your standard, rote ubisoft open-world stuff. WD2 was massive step-up when it came to missions, hacking, performance, open world, sides. WD3 had nothing good to offer better than 1 and 2. Sadly series going to be die.
