Bulovski
Ok, had to move my PC to another room and the cable isn't long enough. Am thinking of getting a Wireless router for PC and PS3. Have Pacenet cable (no modem). Is this possible? Yes Does it effect the browsing/gaming speed? You will not notice any difference Can I use it for my PS3 without switching on my PC? Yes Is this possible with Pacenet (incase someone is using it) I dont know PaceNet but it should work. A wireless router will just use your internet connection and assign it another set of IP addresses which your comp and PS3 will use I havn't seen a router in my life and have no idea how it works! Somebody
^^ i dont know if u can use the router with ur cable connection but.... the router does not affect the browsing and/or gaming speed as long as ur in the same room or nearby....there might be a slight reduction in speed if there's any obstruction in between like walls floors etc. yes, u can directly connect the ps3 to the router without keeping the pc on

Bulovski
^^ might want to check the BIOS brand and version on it and check what the long beep means. If the RAM cleaning doesn't work, take out all the cables, put them back tightly, ensure everything fits properly and then try again. If beep persists it's probably better to get it checked by a technician - unless you have an electronics / comp hardware background

Gautam
Guys, wanna know this.. How much better would games look on a 17" CRT compared to a 21" SDTV. I don't want to spend on a widescreen LCD or HDTV. Also, how much would a good AV to VGA converter cable cost and where can I get it from? aashu
I've bought a 2nd hand Xbox 360 from a local dealer,bt unfortunately, dat mofo dint hav any games,, n nw i'm left wid 3300rs and 35-40 days warranty left on the x360+2yrs RROD! i would buy XBL card,,fr 1 mnth(so 350 gone,,remaining,,3000 only) I tried to open the console, but couldnt open it completely,,warranty is not void,i can say it with 70:30 chances,as I have took M$ sticker on faceplate(with black letters embeded and bit of silvery background peeled off,,but that's nt much ov a problem cause i'll paste it again at the same place, cleanly) OPTION 1: So now I need a XCM Xbox 360 unlock kit(costing around 150 bucks) and Via Sata card(350 bucks) cause I want to mod it myself, considering the firmware being updated often! (Also, some say it's fr 1500,n sum it's fr 2800 on GI-If i get it softmoded frm a dealer) And i'll buy Verbatim DL Dvds,,n i hav LG Dvd writer,,vil burn games dwnloaded frm net on slowest speed,,makin foolproof backups! And in both these ways I can protect frm bein banned on XBL! Option2: I buy second hand game dvds frn GI,but that again would be a costly affair for me considering my budget. Personally Iam more inclined for option1,Cause anyway I've to shell out 1350 per month fr broadband charges(512k),coz peopl say 256K(fr 750 pm) causes lags... and i wont be able to bridge the costs fr original game dvds... I need suggestions/advices frm all u guys!!!

Fire Wolf
There is no fool proof way to stay protected from XBL, it's all on your luck. Plus what will you do if your 360 RRODs? you don't know it's history, whether it's been afflicted with the problem or not. if you want XBL and are wary of RROD, stay legit. Else jump to the dark side.

I don't want to spend on a widescreen LCD or HDTV. Also, how much would a good AV to VGA converter cable cost and where can I get it from? You can either buy a MS VGA cable or third party VGA cable for xbox 360 or buy a pelican air pro cooler, which comes with all the ouputs, including VGA, and then you just need a normal VGA cable. Also it has 2 USB powered fans, which sucks out hot air, and is cheaper than MS VGA cable. You decide what you wanna buy, depending on RROD, warranty, price.... AtheK
dude if your console gets banned your internet connection is a sitting duck thenn ofcourse you can use it to download the games.... i will suggest stay legit..buy 2 games people are selling classics for 700 bucks like gears...Halo3 for 1200.. these two games should keep you busy for long...after that sell one add some cash buy a second hand here and so on... But this is a second hand console so stay away from modding atleast for 5-6 months...
