^^congrats dude..

As for the HDMI cable, i'm sure what you have is a 1.3a spec and you won't be needing another cable. But if you have plans to buy a 2nd cable, it'll cost you anywhere between Rs. 800-900.

Don't go for the fancy ones with gold plated BS.

thanks for the advice Mighty.Lookin forward to playin with you on the PSN:)

This one is for the Delhi guys, A friend of mine is about to splurge for a LCD. Which would be the best place to buy it (in Grey) from Gaffar market? Is there a decent reliable shop in there that someone here has used?

@aashu:

If you love glossy screens then the SP2208WFP is THE monitor you should look at. I have it and i can barely see any reflections on the screen as it is bright and vibrant with colors.

1)Yes, for screens < 50" you won't notice a significant difference b/t 720p and 1080p.

2)Contrast ratio is important as brightness is usually set by default.

3)depends for what purpose you require the display:

gaming : <=2ms is ideal

others : <=5ms

4)Again, go for the glossy one

5)92% color gamut is the ability for monitors to properly display all color variations as accurate as possible.

Man I just connected my Ps3 using the HDMI cable, and the difference compared to the AV cable is phenomenal (obviously!), but I am really pleased to see the PS3 render so beautifully. The first game I played was Euro'08, and the graphics are stunning.

Okay now to my question, the ps3 prompted me and I set the resolution at 1080i, but I have heard that 720p is better, pls let me know if this is indeed true? or I can stick with the 1080i?

Thanks.
