Let me know if the harddisks listed in this page, need to scroll down, will work in a PS3. Both of them are 160GB SATA laptop harddisk (Hitachi and Seagate) and cost abt 3K. Any danger of bricking it ? You can update, just download the 1.1.4 firmware file (iphone1,1_1.1.4_4a102_restore.ipsw) and restore it using iTunes.
