While it looks good I am wondering if using a Component cable instead of the standard AV one will give it a boost in terms of quality. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it? Pushy Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 i'm planning to buy an lcd tv costing around 30k. so i'm basically looking at 26" LCDs i found an LG 26" and a Samsung 26". both of them have hdmi ports and i cant afford to buy a sony one or a full HD LCD coz they are going to be out of my budget The LG 26" one has a contrast ratio of 15k:1 whereas the samsung has only 5k:1. I thought that the LG was a better value for money but my cousin told me that Samsung LCDs are any day better than the LG ones and is asking me to buy a samsung. what do i do ?? plz advice iHas Samsung HDTV 26" and it doesn't disappoint a bit with consoles. BTW take ur console with u for teh checking man, after all u r shelling out huge money. when iWent to buy mine, this showroom was full wid HDTV's and them beeches were playing HD video on all of them, this is where Samsung was SPOT on brighter and clearer than teh rest. and whenever u see a 360 tourney or sumting(like EXPO-tut tut SKWHORE07/06 iDun remember) u will see 360 hooked up to Samsung displays, need iSay nething MOAR? XBL expirence is the best in terms on online play and with new update its only gona get better, but u have to pay close to 2000 buks for yearly XBL gold membership............. On Ps3 as u know tht online play is totally free but its expirence in comparision to XBL is not so overwhelming...... on exclusives front..... 360 has gears, halo 3, NG 2 and upcooming titles like fable 2 , gears 2 and many more........ Ps3 has the god of war series and the ultimate game metal gear solid....... on peripherals side......... every 1 here would agree tht 360 controller is best for driving games and FPS...... but its D pad sucks in comparision to PS 3 controller..... on the pricing of games: the 360 titles start from 999 buks and go to max around 2500 buks......but moost of the good games are priced below 2000 buks ...............whereas the PS 3 titles on average cost around 2700 buks. i originaly intended to purchase a PS 3 but since it launch was delayed bought 360 on launch date itself, but u have the luxury of choosing the console............ so my suggestion is: if u have already played MGS4 then sell of u r PS 3 and buy a 360 from our trading post section enjoy a few 360 titles like gears, halo 3 and other upcoming titles fable 2 and gears 2.........then if u are still not satisfied sell of u r 360 and buy a PS 3, take some inspiration from CHAZTIN.......... #if u have not played MGS4 yet and u own a ps 3 then u should commit suicide or worse buy a Wii btw forgot to mention the best advantage of 360...........u get to Play Ninja gaiden 2.......... #u just mite start the fan wars here phew!!! long write up Edited September 6, 2008 by Godspeed4476 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
