But i am a bit confused on which one to buy Becz i like both PS3 and Xbox360 and also played on them. But i am not pretty sure about the advantages and disadvantages of them. AtheK
1) More number of games availability. X360 but PS3 has enough to keep you busy. 2) Less prone to maintenance problem. PS3 3) Easily Handling.PS3 4) Online participation. Xbox 360 5) Service centers etc etc. If you are in a big town X360. HOglegtrausavo
My points are - 1) More number of games availability. 2) Less prone to maintenance problem. 3) Easily Handling. 4) Online participation. 1) Xbox 360 has better games 2) PS3 is WAY easier to maintain as the xbox 360 has a high failiure rate but,the ms customer support is f**king awesome. 3) Both are easy to handle and are user friendly 4) Xbox 360 wins big tine over here in this regard. Its online service is AMAZING ! Hope it helps.
lastAvenger
ok first thing to do is narrow down the games that you like to play. What kind of games do you like playing like Racing/FPS/Sports/Third Person Shooter/RPG etc ? Both have hardware problems. PS3 has Spin of Death problem where the blu-ray drive burns out and YLOD [ Yellow Light of death] and X360 has RRoD problems among others but MS India does a free replacement for it too. Coming to Price, One can easily say that PS3 offers more value for money seeing how PSN is free, 40GB PS3 is cheaper than X360 Premium and also it comes with a blu-ray drive. Xbox Live service is truly awesome imo Edited September 23, 2008 by lastAvenger
Twister
@Athek, I have heard that all the PS3 games are region free whereas X360 isn't the same. Is that so ?

lastAvenger
^ thats correct. All PS3 games are region free. You buy game from any part of the world and it can easily run on your console. This is not true with Blu-ray movies though since its region protected. Also X360 games are region protected too but lots of titles are region free now. Also one can note that X360 games in India are cheaper compared to PS3 games [ Not including platinum games ]
Twister
I go for Racing, Shooter and RPG the most in my game selection. 1 ) Is it a good buying option to get it from reliance Digital or you suggest any better place ? 2) I have a LG CRT 25inch at home for my personal use, Can i use it for my PS3 till i get an LCD for myself ? ( i am ready to compromise for the quality of the image for a while, but trying to figure out what is the level of compromise i need to do)
AtheK
I go for Racing, Shooter and RPG the most in my game selection. As of now X360 has a little better collection but all the latest hits are multi plats.1 ) Is it a good buying option to get it from reliance Digital or you suggest any better place ? ya decent place Yes or buy from croma. 2) I have a LG CRT 25inch at home for my personal use, Can i use it for my PS3 till i get an LCD for myself ? ( i am ready to compromise for the quality of the image for a while, but trying to figure out what is the level of compromise i need to do) Both the consoles will look the same except a couple of games in PS3 like UC and MGS4 which are brilliant. lastAvenger
Get an LCD asap. The difference is huge. For hooking PS3 to your CRT, your crt needs to support HDCP over DVI input else it won't work. For X360 it can work though
