Even if you lose out on signal strength, you won't lose out on internet speed because even at 1mbps speed from your router, your internet connection is 512kbps. Grab WRT54G2, i am currently using it and its nice. Each console has pros and cons and its own bunch of exclusives. But...if you're buying in India a PS3 is a better value for me right now, since the recent 360 price cuts are not in effect here, and we've got really old models of the 360. So if you can live without Gears / Halo and a few RPGs go for PS3.
