Snake
Now idea abt delhi..maybe us can ask guys in ehre who stay in delhi..they can help u out in a much better way!!!
Aftrunner
Shop number 2 in Palika can do most general repairs for you. But you are better off spending that 750 bucks at Croma. If you are getting a console for 25k whinging out on 750 Rs seems like a bad idea.

Aftrunner
What about DVD that wrere written by you i.e. not something pirated bought off the street? Is it reading them? Or the DVD that you tried and didnt work, did you try them at a friends place to make sure the DVDs arent faulty? If all fails you will need to RMA it. Its under warranty they have to fix it. Even now original dvds start in an instantly(just inserted tomb raider underworld dvd thrice every time it starts instantly) just have no problem starting original dvds but i need to burn my Save data (music, pics) on dvd rw. It reads dvds rw as cd... Just inserted indigo prophecy(cd rom) readas in an instant no problem at all. It just looks liks something is stopping my dvd writer to read blank or copied dvds or cds. Aftrunner
The only other thing you could do then is to try the DVD drive on another PC if you think the Starforce (the DRM that came with PoP) caused the problem. It might have, Starforce was a nasty peice of DRM. If thats the case you could format/reinstall your system. Also worth a shot is Windows XP/vista pirated disc if you have one. See if the DVD drive reads that, if it doesnt try and see if you can boot the PC with the Windows disc. If you can boot with it but it wont read on your desktop it could be an OS issue. Hope that makes sense. Other than that return it to the manufacturers tell them its not reading any burned discs.

It reads copied cd-r but only dvdr or dvd rws are not reading. I guess i should take it to shop and ask them to fix. Its not even been a month since i got this. playstation
Hi, is it safe to play DVD's bought at roadside stores on the ps3? or is there chance of damaging the lens??? should i get a dvd player? bro, dont even think of doing that. It weakens the power of lens .this is my personal experience from ps2( i used my ps2 a lot for pirated dvds now it does not read original game(like Gow2 and Gow1). I have played only once a copied dvd on my ps3-Rab ne bandi jodi that too coz my father wanted to see it and watching on 14inchmonitor wont be fun so had to play on ps3 for tv so that he can enjoy... Dont do it..Infact dont even play original dvds on ps3 or ps2.they just weaken the lens. Use it for games and blu-ray(i would prefer to use a separate blu-ray player but too pricey)so ps3 hi use karna parega. The safest thing is dvd played loads of my dvd movies is still unwatched coz i am waiting to buy a dvd played ..
