I have an old AMD GPU (6790) and the last couple of days, the AMD driver crashes multiple time before going to a black screen. I installed the latest driver that was released yesterday and no luck. It worked fine for the last three years with some very rare driver crashes. I had been using the comp only for browsing for the last 6-7 months but had a lengthy gaming session the last week which is when the problem started cropping up.

Any suggestions for fixes ? Reinstalled drivers. Rolled back drivers. Same issue. The driver crashes even if I open youtube or even I launch an application.

EDIT: I was wondering if I have to buy a new card or is there a way to get it to work fine.

Pushy janaab, your post vapourised into the ether when I tried to shift it to the PC Thread.

Anyway, answer to your query is, none of these boards are new or even close to over-clocking material. It is a risk picking anyone of them and expecting a jolly good time.

I am planning to get a Mi Pad on 8th April. Will use it mostly for ebook, apps (not resource hungry), light browsing & light gaming. Is it a good idea?

Also planning to sell of Samsung Tab 3, as it lags as hell. Get Digiflip Pro 2nd Gen instead or Asus Fonepad 7. Mom will use it for phone calls, whatsapp, facebook & camera.

Both will be used for different purposes, so please suggest accordingly.

Guys, hows sansa disk sport vs clip+ vs zip.

actually i have used zip and absolutely love it...but Clip+ or sport is better i might go for it.

I need one more.

They are pretty much the same device on the inside save the different aesthetics and the basic colour screen on the latter.

miPad is an unknown quantity as of now, post in the Droid thread for views, I think you would get a more comprehensive answer there.

I would go with the Digiflip Pro, decent tab, average screen but awesome battery life (standby) and overall quite a steal. Bird Bird Bird owns one. Cheers!

Hi Experts,

My Nephew will be turning 1 in a couple of weeks and i just want to gift him something special for his first birthday. Agreed that he might not know what im gifting him today, but should be a thing that his parents feel good about or something that lasts enough for him to see when he grows up. I know that selecting a gift is the most difficult thing to do, so putting this to you experts.

Note: My Brother's family lives in USA and i live in Australia. Buying something online like Amazon, etc should be practically possible and my budget is around $150.

For an year old, I think dresses are good. If you want to buy a toy, do consider that everything will go in his mouth, so buy something that has some big pieces so that the baby doesn't swallow. Specifically, no legos as it has some tiny pieces.

Give something that emit music, some sort of sound that keeps their interest.

Would it be possible to buy a walker, a tricycle? A sleeping pram would also be good.

And do discuss and let them know what you are planning. You might not want them or their friends to buy the same thing.

Thanks for your suggestion :)

Dresses, looks to be a good idea and things like tricycle can be something for a 2 or 3 year old i feel.

Any other suggestion ?

The tricycles I am talking about are little different. There is a long handle attached on the seat which parents can hold from behind and control the direction. The babies just have to sit on and look around while parents do all the pushing.. Gradually, the babies become comfortable with paddling. Check this

Hey guys,

A friend of mine is coming from the US, and I am thinking of getting a GTX 970. Can you guys tell me which brand provides INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY on their GTX 970 cards?

I read somewhere that EVGA and ASUS provide it, but am not 100% sure on it.

Anyone has any experience on this?
