^^I'm also planning to buy a new pc probably by the end of this month with an 8800gt 512mb xxx edition.

If your budget is around rs 20,000 then you'll have to settle for the 8800GT or 8800GTS series. The prices currently are approx (incl tax):

8800GT 512mb Alpha Dog edition -> Rs. 14300

8800GT 512mb Extreme Edition -> Rs. 15000-16000 (not sure)

8800GT 512mb XXX Edition -> Rs. 17400 (i'm getting his card since it's overclocked and even operates at a higher clock rate by default)

8800GTS Alpha Dog -> Rs. 21000

8800GTS XXX -> Rs. 22000

I wanted to get the 8800GTX card but it's over my budget and i think it retails anywhere between rs. 25000 - 28000.

But before you go out and purchase any of these cards get a good PSU as they require a lot of juice. I'm planning to get the Corsair TX 750W.

P.S. Check the prices at your local shop

fantastic mate, let me know what they say.

You guys do realize that ask.com is not a spyware or adware site right ?

Its a very legit site and was also earlier known as askjeeves.com

So a malware or spyware pointing towards that site ?? doesn't really make sense

I mean it should be pointing towards other websites which are filled with malware and other sh*t.

Give us more details about what browser are you using ? It could be just a simple ask.com plugin for FF or something similar.

i tried spyware terminator to remove adware and i removed it but the problem is still there.it scanned out some critical files but i removed it.

i am using internet explorer-6.

few weeks ago when i use to open website it use to work just fine but now it goes blank for few seconds and than ask.com opens up.happens sometimes and usually when i click on the link.

I have Samsung's SH S203B SATA DVD writer, no issues at all, I know Samsung's drive had a lot of tray issues before but after a lot of research I found this is the best SATA writer (SH S203N) available today!!!

Since Samsung's SH S203N which is not available here (at least in Bangalore) I bought Samsung's SH S203B, Look for its reviews & user feedbacks (on NewEgg.com)

I've been using Samsung SH203-B SATA DVD writer (read good things about it on CDFreaks) with my Asus P5B motherboard. No issues with motherboard.

About OS with Windows XP you'll just need the driver for your SATA chipset (slipstream or create a floppy). In case you have one of those Jmicron chipsets for additional SATA its recommended to use the main chipset's SATA port (saves loading one driver).

I wanted to buy a DVI or VGA switch for connecting my both consoles to my 22 inch monitor so that i am ready to game at the touch of a button.Right now,PS3 is connected via DVI and PC via VGA so that i can swicth easily by using the Source button in monitor.but if i have to play 360, i have to manually remove the VGA plug each time and connect the 360 VGA cable.

So, i wud like a DVI switch to connect PS3 and PC to it and use the VGA post for 360.If it doesnt do, i can use a VGA switch to connect 360 and PC to it and use PS3 on the DVI post.

Anyone know any good one thats available locally?
